?

seems like tobias needs a chill pill and a psychologist/therapist.

This isn't a Tobias vid. It's a vid made from someone stealing his stream clips.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

okay.

is that tobias talking?

LostFr0st1 votes

Yeah, but he clearly has tilt from the games before. This isn't a one-off flame spree like the vid makes it out to be.

doesnt matter. if you ever come to that point in your life where you're saying those sort of things and talking about doing those sort of things then you have a serious problem and need help.

it doesnt matter if you're smooshed between two fat sweaty guys on a rollercoaster of life that throw up on you halfway through the ride or if you're just stubbing your toe in the supermarket.

when you cant contain your own rage and hate towards others you need mental guidance. no matter what the reason. by making these types of videos and uploading them he's effectively inspiring others to do the same.

1 time or 100 times. doesnt matter.

He's NOT making these types of videos. That's what I'm trying to tell you. The owner of the youtube channel is cherry-picking clips from the stream vods on Twitch and making them into suggestive and offensive videos. Tobias isn't the only streamer falling victim to it either sadly.

** He's NOT making these types of videos**. That's what I'm trying to tell you. The owner of the youtube channel** is cherry-picking clips from the stream vods on Twitch** and making them into suggestive and offensive videos. Tobias isn't the only streamer falling victim to it either sadly.

so tobias isnt the guy who made this video? some news reporter did it? some hacker made this video and uploaded it from tobias's webcam? it was stolen from his phone and uploaded to youtube unofficially? tobias himself hasnt put this video on the internet somewhere? those voices werent tobias's? tobias never said "Man F*** that N***"? tobias never said "this guy is such a - he's F* ghosting" "this F* loser aint ghosting" "theres no way that guy isnt F* trying to cheat" "and now dipsh*t nidalee is dead again" didnt type "why pick the worst jungle in the game" immediately after pinging their respawn timer 3 times after they just died. and then he didnt proceed to call them a "f** moron" on his video. he didnt go onto a rant at the end of the match and say "ohh i want to break my F** keyboard but i cant because if i do then i wont be able to play league of legends" and then you just hear a sound that makes you imagine him throwing something. wasnt him nope. must have been someone else. he doesnt go onto a rant about how much he hates league of legends and is basically addicted to it.

when he gets mad and flames his jungler (nidalee) in this one video even if had just done it once millions of his loyal followers are going to uphold that behavior when it shouldnt be.

when he talks about destroying his own keyboard - that's a sign of anger management issues. even if it's a joke - which it might be because i dont watch his streams or his lets plays or any of that - even if it's a joke he still needs to keep that out of his videos. if a news anchor does something like that they are fined, fired, and sometimes put in jail for destruction of property at their work place. granted he's inside his own private property most likely - you're still not allowed to act on violent thoughts even inside your own home. if a whistleblower calls the police because they feel threatened by the aggression you can be forcefully submitted to a psyche ward for evaluation.

please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but a live stream is no different than a live stream correct? as in a live stream is a live stream? you know... a live stream? that's a video right? that's a live video with a live stream of video and it's live?

that rant he goes on at the end of the game is him admitting that he has an addiction to league but then tries to justify it by saying everyone else watching him on his stream has that same addiction. regardless of whether they do or not tobias needs to seek counseling.

this scenario is no different than bill burr and christopher titus. even they have to constantly explain that they have seen or are seeing a therapist when performing or that they're exaggerating or lying for comedic purposes. it's easy to influence people with words and actions when you're a celebrity.

Basically implying everything that any streamer does should be perfect then. When Dom, QT, Phreak, NB3 , Trick, or Peanut or anyone goes on stream they should always be perfect? Because everyone should be held to the same standards right?

I guess they all need counselling then because they all slip.

We don't need this video to "prove" anything about their actions in-game. The instant feedback system can handle that itself.

Pretty much the only ones I can think of off the top of my head right now that pass the quality bar laid out in the post above are Scarra and Sirhcez. They are super chill.

The fact remains that this is a cherry picked video. Out of the many many hours streamers spend live this youtuber scans their streams for the worst of it, then edits and uploads that content with a click-bait thumbnail as if he's representing them. It annoys me tremendously.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

being perfect and being presentable are two different things.

all performers need to be held to the same standards yes. that's what streaming is - a performance. i explained this with bill burr and christopher titus as examples.

a lot of them admittedly do. streaming is a stressful job. 13 hours of their day usually goes into sitting in front of a screen trying to get a good video and sometimes they cant - especially in a game like league where it's more or less dependent on your entire team. it's the equivalent of standing on the corner every day playing music for people who walk by and then having to deal with days where people just walk past you without so much as a tip.

their actions in-game arent the focus of my discussion. it's the real world effects of their videos. so that's just a misleading reply. and i'm not sure what you're quoting since i never said the word "prove" in any of my posts. the fact of the matter is that this sort of behavior regardless of the quantity needs to stop. doesnt matter if it's once or twice or if it's every video. it needs to not be encouraged.

as i've said earlier i dont watch a lot of streams. the ones i watch are usually for indie games and only when recommend to me. if scarra and sirhcez put on a fun and live demonstration without ranting and encouraging harassment in their videos 100% of the time then great! that's what league needs - people with healthy moral fiber representing the community as a whole.

it doesnt matter if it's 1 time. i already explained this - you can be the best news caster of all time, but if you screw up just once by ranting or doing something on live television you're not supposed to then you're canned and sometimes worse. im fully aware of what it means to cherry-pick something and clickbait it. that doesnt change the fact that this video should have never been uploaded if i was uploaded and if it was live streamed then tobias should have been more professional about it.

Firstly, I apologize for my misleading use of quotes. What I meant is that streamers are indeed human, and self-control in stressful situations is not an attribute found in all people. Of course that doesn't pardon his actions, but context is important.

In the particular case of Tobias, I don't think the reality of his new audience size and the consequences of his actions/negative exemplar on-stream have hit him yet since his audience expanded relatively recently. Once that reality hits him he should mellow out.

I agree it should have been never uploaded, and neither should dozens of others about other streamers. No one would watch the vod and hunt to see such negative actions. People who drag others' names through the mud for a bit of attention or views are even worse.

so in the end you and i agree, but you're just upset about the OP being a whistleblower?

i went and watched a few of tobias's videos from his actual page and he still rants - most of his videos he takes it and cuts it out. if he's winning he rants less and usually talks about how bad the enemies or his allies are. thats still not a positive thing to do.

i stand firm on the belief that tobias has an addiction to winning in league of legends. his actions in all of his videos are very similar to someone who's experiencing withdrawal and depression

if tobias is just trying to appeal to the hateful community that is league of legends through what is considered agressive but comedic dialogue thats one thing, but if tobias is actually suffering from the negative effects i've mentioned then it would be better to help him realize that sooner..

LostFr0st1 votes

Yup. I've posted on the threads pertaining to these vids before, this is a secondary OP that HitMute (the usual OP and content creator for these vids) is using to further publicize the vids due to forum bumping rules that would otherwise remove the re-posts of the same vid.

No, it's not a positive thing to do, but he'll either grow up or disappear.

You're correct that what he needs is confrontation, but more attention to his negative plays won't do that. Videos like this one will only reinforce such behaviour, since people that see the video will then go to the stream expecting it and celebrate when he acts like that making a feedback loop.

I personally don't think Tobias' character is strong enough yet to swim against such a tide when tested. Which is kinda funny now that I think on it due to the GP/Illaoi connection.
