Trading in Hextech Crafting?

TL;DR Adding the ability to trade Hextech Crafting inventory items between players would be pretty cool in my opinion

As with many other popular games that have similar systems to Hextech Crafting, I feel like adding trading to Hextech Crafting would be a great benefit to the system. For example, being able to trade a skin that you may not want with a friend that wants that skin would make the system more enjoyable for the community as a whole, inciting more communication about the system between players. This is also especially common because since players tend to only play a few roles, and only a few champions in each role, thus it is very rare for a player to get a skin/champion that they actually want. It could also be possible for newer players who need more champions to trade their skin shards with others for champion shards. This would be most useful when trading with players who already own every champion in the game and therefore have little use for champion shards, benefiting both sides of the exchange. Even though I know Riot is busy right now with new skins, champions, balancing, and the new client, it would be greatly appreciated if trading between friends was considered to be added to Hextech Crafting.

There's garnering good will with the community, and then there's losing out on millions of dollars in sales.

While I would love for this to happen, I also understand how much of a detriment this would be for Riot's sales, because if they allow trading, that means that a lot less people will buy chests, because their friends are more likely to have a skin shard they want instead.

Imagine, like in your post, if someone had all the champions and instead traded away all their skin shards to a friend who didn't have nearly as many. That's a loss of a really large amount of games played to get the IP, a chance of loss in IP boost sales, or straight up money for buying the champion (Which tbh is much less likely but still a path).

Most things that Riot does that give away free stuff always have a business reason or are generally small scale and give good will to Riot, boosting their sales overall for being a reputable game company (That's not the only reason they do it, but you're lying if you say it isn't one of the reason lmao)
