Champion Concept : Tak and Dart, the Yordle Brothers
Basically, I had an idea for a champion(or champions) that had one player essentially control 2 champions at once. This sort of seems overpowered, and it could be, but I did my best to try and make it balanced, because it is essentially having another champ on your team.
Tak and Dart, the Yordle Bounty Hunters Primary : Assassin Secondary : Marksman
Abilities: Passive: Brotherly Bond Both Tak and Dart have seperate health pools and levels, and when one dies, the other is revealed for 10 seconds and is overwhelmed with grief, losing 50% movement speed and 50% AD and AP until the other respawns. Killing one will count as a regular champion kill. In addition, for every 750 units the two are from each other, they both lose 30 Armor and Magic Resist.
Q: Tak/Dart Upon activation the player switches from controlling Tak to controlling Dart, and vice versa. Tak and Dart have different W and E abilities.
TAK
W: Pummel Tak's next 5 auto attacks deal 5/10/20/40 (+ 35% AP) bonus Magic Damage, and he gains a 20% attack speed bonus for 5 seconds.
E: Yordle Style Tak curls into a ball and spins around with his morning star extended for 1/2/3/4 seconds, gaining a 20% Armor and Movement Speed buff and dealing a continuous 20 (+ 40% AD) to all enemies in the radius.
DART
W: All fours Dash puts his mini crossbow in his mouth and runs on his feet and abnormally shaped hands for 2/3/4/5 seconds, gaining 45% of his current movement speed and becoming immune to stuns and snares (but not slows) for the duration, while also losing his ability to attack and 35% of his Armor and Magic Resist.
E: Hunter's Trap Dart sets down a makeshift bear trap which goes invisible after 10 seconds and lasts for 5 minutes. When stepped on by an enemy, it clamps together, dealing 5/10/20/30 (+ 50% AP) magic damage and snares the enemy caught for 1/2/3.5/4 seconds. Dart can carry 2 traps at once and makes one after 1 minute of being out of combat.
BOTH R: Conjoined If Tak and Dart are within 200 units of each other they merge together and transform into Dak the Destroyer for 20 seconds, gaining 50% more Damage, Armor, and Magic Resist, but losing 30 movement speed and .35 attack speed. While they are Conjoined, their Q ability is rendered useless and they gain Tak's 'W' ability, and Dart's 'W' becomes their 'E'. Both of their health pools also combine for the duration, and they now die as one.
I did not put in the stats, mana costs, or cooldowns because I would have no clue how to scale those. But basically, Tak is a melee champ, maybe Amumu-like in terms of scaling, and Dart is more of a Teemo type champ. I'm not exactly sure how items would work though. i guess individual items since they both earn gold from two sources.
TIPS Playing:
- It would be best to either have both Tak and Dart in one lane, or have one jungle and the other in a lane close by, so to keep your Armor and Magic resist at normal levels.
- Try not to get overwhelmed keeping track of two champions. If you are pretty sure the area one of them is in is safe from champs or jungle creatures, it would be best to just start them Auto Attacking and switch to the other.
- If both Yordles are in danger, use Dart's 'W' and right click on the map near a turret to get him out of danger, and defend with Tak, considering Dart is very squishy and easily killed.
Playing Against:
- If you are trying to take on both brothers at once, poke at Tak the most because Dart is ranged and will generally be behind Tak. Unless of course you are a champ who can easily get out of sticky situations (Tristana, Ekko, Tryndamere, etc.).
- If one Yordle uses an ability, focus the other one because the chances are the person playing them is still controlling the one who just used an ability, and won't be able to escape easily from a sudden attack.
- Be on guard when laning against Dart. Treat him as you would Teemo, but don't get Teemo Taunted. Don't try and chase him far, or you will most likely get a Trap in your face.
- Ward nearby bushes to avoid the other brother popping out at you and catching you off guard.
LORE Even at birth, Tak and Dart were special and everyone in Bandle City could see it. They seemed to have one brain, and always know what the other was thinking, even though they both had distinct differences. Dart always excelled in the more technical side of combat and using a crossbow when they sparred each other, whereas Tak liked brute force to just bat anything out of his way. They both were noticed by Teemo, who mentioned they should join the Scouts of the Mothership, one of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit. They both were accepted very quickly once they showed how well they worked together as a team, and quickly rose in the ranks. It all went downhill one night when Dart asked Teemo to show him where he gathers his poison. Teemo refused, not thinking Dart was good enough with his crossbow to use such a deadly poison. Dart swiped a jar of it from Teemo, but it did not go unnoticed. Dart figured since Teemo was generally a nice guy, outside of combat training of course, he wouldn't do anything about it. He was wrong. The two got into a ranged battle, with darts and arrows flying everywhere. Tak rushed to Dart, sensing he was in trouble and helped attack Teemo. Tristana heard the commotion and rushed to Teemo's aid, and both the parties got out of the fight with somewhat serious injuries. Tak and Dart were banished from Bandle City because of their actions, and were hunting down Yordle scouts who beared any resemblance to Teemo, until they one day stumbled upon Viegar. He told them to join him in the League of Legends, and to help him with his conquest to bring all city-states to their knees. The brothers accepted, hoping to one day meet Teemo again to exact their revenge.
"I'll break your face."
