Challenger Tier renamed Legend?

Since the game is called League of LEGENDS i think it would be a nice idea to make challenger tier legend tier or make a tier after challenger.

what are your thoughts?

Why is it called "challenger" in the first place? Whom are they challenging? For me challenge is a intention to become better]more successful through defeating other opponents. Are they challenging themselves? Or Riot? Challengers are already "best of the best". Please explain.
