Marquez The Fountain of Existence Passive: Marquez slowly loses existence over time, starting at 90, losing 1 point of existence per minute. The less existence Marquez has the less damage he deals, yet takes. The more existence he has, the more damage he deals, yet takes. Marquez loses 5 existence when killed. Marquez’s existence can’t fall under 50. Marquez’s existence caps at 175, he gains existence based off of kills and assists. (Kills grant 10 existence while assists grant 5)
Q: Marquez’s next auto attack gains 400 range and will do bonus damage (equal to 100% of ability power) and will slow (by 3, 5, 8, 10, 12% for 1 second) (14, 13, 12, 11, 10 second cool-down)
W: Marquez takes apart his blade, turning into a dual held blade weapon. His next two auto attacks will grant him bonus attack speed (60, 70, 80, 90, 100) and will cause the enemy to blead for 2% of their current health over 3 seconds. Marquez can choose to recast this ability to throw his blades, both dealing (5, 15, 25, 35, 45 damage) magic damage. (120% ability power scaling) (4 second cool-down)
E: Marquez will grant a shadow aura, all enemies within a 350 radius of his current location will be blinded. After channeling for 1 seconds, he turns invisible and dashes in a direction of choice. If Marquez hits an enemy during the dash he deals magic damage (85, 120, 155, 190, 225. 75% ap scaling) and will be blinded again for 1.5 seconds. If Marquez hits an ally champion, he loses the invisibility yet gives it to the allied champion for 3x the duration. (23, 21, 19, 17, 15 second cool-down)
R: Marquez’s pendant awakens, allowing him to take his true form. Marquez’s auto attacks will lose 15% attack speed, yet will deal 125% true magic damage (5,4,3 existence per auto attack.) If he reactivates this ability, his pendant will show and mark the enemy’s existence, dealing 5% of max health (Plus 1% per 5% missing maximum health) as magic damage. If the enemies survive Marquez is damaged for half of the damage dealt (will survive with one hit-point if it’d kill). If the enemy is slain, he gains all existence lost from auto attacks plus 10 bonus existence.
Q/A (Note, these are ALL ACTUAL questions asked by people as I was creating this!) Q: Where did you get this idea for this champion? A: I’ve always been obsessed with the thought we all have souls/existence, and if something were to happen to them we’d fade. I figured I’d make something based off of this. Hence the name Fountain of Existence. Q: What’s his origin? A: Shadow Iles, since he takes others existences, and takes them for himself, it felt perfect. Q: What are you aiming for design wise? A: I actually have someone willing to design an artwork for him, and will re-upload this page with it, (and a lore) yet I imagined him as a shadowy figure, most likely a shadow in a cloak, super dim to see on the inside so it looks as if it’s a floating cloak. With a red pendant where his existence is stored. (Say for example he is added in game, I thought It’d be cool if his pendant was more dark the more existence he has) Q: Did you have any other paths you were wanting to take his abilities? A: This is actually his second design form. The only thing that changed was imagine I had in mind, name, title, and passive. Everything else was changed. What I working him off of was an earlier stage of his ultimate, where he created a clone of any champion (except himself) and would have access to all their abilities (except summoner spells, and would share their stats) for a limited time. But it’d be too hard to balance, imagine if you had a soraka, they could use their ultimate and peel for your team while you used ultimate again. Or say you had a Camille, you could zone two people off completely with an ultimate. And assuming it’d have many bugs too.
As a side note, I always work on creating my own "champions" and have a couple as thoughts or in works at a time, yet this is first time I've taken it to an actual thing. I set stats as a place-holder for what felt "right" to me, if you have any feedback for my champion(s), ideas on what to change, what you think of them or concepts you'd like to see me create, let me know.
