Corem, the Hand of Fate

Abilities: Passive: Resurgence Corem stores 1/10 of all damage taken as Resurgence within her resource bar. Resurgence is expended with the use of abilities and 9/10 of Resurgence is lost upon death. Resurgence is spent AFTER the casting of an ability. Corem maxes out at a total of 1000 resurgence.

Q: Temporal Shock --- 10/15/20/25/30 Resurgence | 10/8/6/4/2 second cooldown Fires a small blast of compressed time in a straight line; damaging all targets hit, stopping on the second champion, and slowing them. 20/40/80/160/220 (+10% Resurgence) Magic Damage 1/1.3/1.6/1.9/2.2 second 30% slow

  • Range - 500 units A small ball of white/blue light fires off from Corem's left hand and hits all enemies in it's path.

W: Spatial Warp --- 20/25/30/35/40 Resurgence | 30/25/20/15/10 Second Cooldown Teleports Corem to the target location after a 5 second channel. Upon arrival, Corem deals 5% Resurgence Magic Damage to enemies and slowing them by 10% for 2 seconds. (Spatial Warp is interrupted by CC but not by damage) Cast Range: 100-300(+30% Resurgence) units Corem is surrounded by a white/blue light that grows more opaque as the channel finishes. She arrives at the target location in a flash of light.

E: Detention Sphere --- 15 Resurgence | 15/14/13/12/11 Second Cooldown Corem marks a 300 unit diameter area. 3 seconds later all units within are stunned, knocked down, and pulled into the center for 1.5 seconds. Every champion stunned restores 50 Resurgence. Detention Sphere can be channeled for 5 seconds. If uninterrupted, Detention Sphere will be stored for 10 seconds and recasting the ability will reduce the delay to 1.5 seconds.

  • Range - 650 units A white/blue circle of light appears on the ground. Lines draw themselves out and crisscross the center of the circle. They glow brighter as they reach the center and then flash when Detention Sphere activates

R: Fate's Call --- 100/125/150 Resurgence | 300/200/100 Second Cooldown A circle of light appears beneath a target enemy champion for 5 seconds. At the end of the 5 seconds, beam of light is sent into the sky while rooting and dealing True damage to the target. Nearby enemies are knocked back by 300 units (Fate's Call can't target an enemy below 5% health. It's to provide opportunity/picks by forcing an enemy out of the fight or locking them down rather than killing them.) Root Duration: 1/1.25/1.5 seconds Damage: 25/50/100 (10% Resurgence)

  • Range: Global A circle of white/blue light appears around the base of the target champion and fills up as the ability 'charges'. A ghostly white hand appears above the champion. It slowly closes as the ring of light fills up. White bars shoot up from the ground and into the closing hand as Fate's Call finishes its 'charging'

Appearance Corem is garbed in a flowing white gown. Sharp/jagged azure blue designs crisscross up and down the front of it with very little pattern. Azure hair drapes across her left shoulder and down to her knees. While walking or running it billows out beneath her left arm. She has brown eyes and traces of a white and blue mixture of light lightly exude from them. The same light glows around her hands and fills out the gaps in her gown as she moves. She walks 'floatingly'; she takes longer strides and falls slowly.

Lore

The Ruin Wars; such a horrid event. I don't remember much of the events pertaining to my death. People screamed around me as they died and the world became a roiling sea beneath my feet. I could not distinguish down from up as the lightning blazed the sky and dark clouds blotted the sun. Blue arcs of energy flashed around me and I could feel the power that fueled them, like rivers of energy flowing beneath my feet.

This devastation brought fear to my soul as my world and life collapsed around me. I could feel the life force of my loved ones drain away in the turmoil as I was left completely alone in the blackened void. Falling was my last remembrance.

I woke up to an azure light; a faint glow emanating from everywhere but nowhere. I was motionless but there was nothing beneath my feet. I hung in that emptiness for what felt like lifetimes. The death of my previous moments haunted me. I could feel the blackness filling up my body. An unending pain that burned every fiber of my body. Excruciating, the pain wanted to make me scream. The azure light began to dim around me was I succumbed to my eternal suffering. So, this was the afterlife.

My thought was cutoff by a gentle voice. It held neither masculinity or the whimsical lilt of a woman. It said I was not alone. That it would guide me and bring me peace. The words drove away my pain! Warmth flooded my body and I felt like I could fly! Everything would be okay. I lay motionless as the azure light returned to its former brightness. From beside me the light began to swirl and condense till a personage of this light stood there.

"Everything happens for a reason. The rising of civilizations, the fall of empires, the creation of life and the ending of it." As the voice spoke images came into my mind. White marble castles emblazoned with gold, two gods fighting one in the sands of a dead city, the birth of heroes, and the casualties of war.

"I govern these events. I bring them to fruition by guiding the thoughts of these creatures. Be glad, my daughter. You will join me as my descendant and govern the Fates of man!"

I felt a flow of energy gather inside of my body. Power far greater than that drawn upon by the Ruins of Destruction. I could feel the restrictions placed upon me but I had a calling and a purpose. I will fulfill my Father's wishes.

Yay! Massive wall of text has been typed! This is one of a few champion designs I have thought of. I don't have any art though... I really want to see some suggestions and things!

So from what i see shes supposed to be a utility tank with some damage potential once shes got a lot of resurgence? Also what group of champions would she come from lore-wise?

One concern I have is that all of your abilities cost Resurgence. During the laning phase you're going to have to take 100 damage just so you can cast a spell, to cast 1 spell. Congratz you get to use a spell, but you just massively lost a trade to do so. Going into the jungle sort of solves this, but her kit is terrible for the jungle. I'm honestly not sure if you should just remove the costs (which is problematic on it's own) or severely lower the initial costs (which MIGHT make a meta where you don't scale up your abilities which would be dumb). I honestly don't know what the solution could be.

The range on this is suuuuuuuuuuuper low. This is a teleport we are talking about, with a 5 second cast. There is NO way you are gonna get that off meaningfully at a range of 100. I think that making this instant at that range would make more sense as it by itself is not a very powerful ability.

I realize it is very powerful, but even TF's and Shen's ult which can be argued to be at a similar power level are only at a 180 second cd at their first rank. Probably just following their ultimate cds would be the best solution, since Riot has definitely gotten that balance down by now. (I misunderstood the ult, I thought it was a global teleport like Shen's but on an enemy.) However, I believe making this a teleport would be an amazing change, as well as reducing the CD. The only thing about that is that the 5 second channel would then be extremely long. I also think the damage on it is a little low, 25 damage is nothing. I know it's true damage but that's less than a level 1 auto from Soraka on a champion.

Overall this champion concept looks AMAZING. I was being a little picky on the numbers and effects, but really only because all the abilities look so cool.

TLDR: Costs on spells are problematic. Ult's first 2 ranks cds are ridiculously long. Ult needs a little more damage.
