Having the Ultimate Skin Shard doesnt grant you the ultimate skin after the update

In the update the patch notes stated that: > BIG DROP, FREE UNLOCK Ultimate and Mythic skins will now drop as auto-redeeming permanents (no orange essence required to upgrade them). If you already own the skin, you'll be able to disenchant the permanent for orange essence.

Which means that you don't have to spend orange essence to get ultimate skin shards anymore.

However I had the DJ Sona ultimate skin shard before the update and have it now after the update but there's been no change in price to upgrade to skin permanent (when theoretically it should be free to upgrade?). I can't tell if this is just a bug or a little bit of an oversight.

Anyone else having the same issue?

They said that this change won't be retroactively. If you got the skin shard before the patch hit live, you won't get the ultimate skin for free.

Ya i have ez one and they said they wont because it was before patch.. Kinda bs. Should atleast be half

Well, it should, after the patch anyway.

As for skin shard you get before the update? Idk. You can still try support ticket, though, given there doesn't seem to be any reason to deny unlocks just because you get the shard a couple days before the update.
