Imo, Star Guardian Velkoz fits so well with the rest of the theme! What do you think?

I wonder if Keyru would pass this onto the development team for me? ######Why can't I have power where it really matters? lol jk

Report Evelynn4 votes

What really needs to be passed to the development team is ideas for new Janna and Orianna Abillity icons. lol

Fondling Gems4 votes

Haha, they are pretty outdated aren't they? Unfortunately I don't actually have contacts with them, and Keyru might string me alive if I bug her to tell them. Or just unfriend my in game, IDK.

LOL ok Boi, we better keep you alive before Keyru strangles u

But then how will senpai ever notice you if you don't give it a change?!

Onkel Malte2 votes

Medler passed something along to the art team I think. They're up to something with those Icons.

Wouldn't fit at all. Velkoz is a creature that wouldn't be chosen to be among the ranks of Star Guardians. Rather he would certainly fit as their opposition in the Dark Star line.

Star Guardians chose Jinx. That is all I'm gonna say on the whole "not chosen" thing.

ALSO, the developers at Riot mentioned that the Star Guardian universe is completely separate from the lore we know.

Yeah but isn't the whole point of the Star Guardians to fight void creatures? In the official trailer they fight baron, and in gameplay trailers they were only shown against void monsters.

Yeaaaaah but of the current Star Guardians, 3 are straight-up human and the other 2 are similar to humans.

Last I heard, Ezreal and Syndra were on the list as well, so 5 humans and 2 close to humans.

Are you seeing a theme? I see a theme. Star Guardians are young humans (school age).

Not ancient void abominations.

Mind you, if we're 'bout to dip into some lore again, Yordles are NOT HUMANS; nor are they anything close to human race, despite their appearance to human beings, as they appear as old human beings to ACTUAL human beings in some of the Yordles' lore, such as Tristana's and Kled's (which you have to remember is completely different from how they actually look like, of course; yordles' appearances essentially change depending on each individual human being's perception). Yordles are ancient, timeless spirit creatures. You are likely confusing Yordles with the Vastaya who are humanoids — a race joined by animals and humans.

So, your argument is invalid.

Regardless, going back to what the Rioters said on the matter of Star Guardians... Star Guardians are from a completely separate universe — completely separate from Bandle City, Mount Targon, and The Void.

Therefore, Vel'Koz is fully capable of being a Star Guardian.

I'm inclined to disagree with your assessment and also your use of 'invalid' as it was a perfectly valid argument. The only instances of them appearing "different" is multiple times them appearing to be old and Skarl looking like a pony. That's an illusion- not physically changing shape. Considering we see Skarl perfectly fine as he is and see Trist as a young girl- everything points to the forms they take in-game being exactly what they actually look like- the "True Form" both Trist and Kled speak of. As such, they look close to human, a bit furrier and shorter, but still human by most standards. Even Rioters have spoken of these appearances.

You only prove my point farther by mentioning how Star Guardians is its own universe. Guess what- all Star Guardians are two-legged, two-armed, children in a school at the moment. Guess what Vel'Koz will never be? A two-legged, two-armed, child in a school. He might appear as a villain in the line but nothing supports him being a viable candidate for a Star Guardian as thus far the criteria is unknown. However, we can look at existing Star Guardians and see what they have in common to determine an estimate of what is needed.

Also, as my premises were true (All Star Guardians are visually human, Vel'Koz isn't visually human) and the conclusion (Vel'Koz likely isn't suitable to be a Star Guardian) is guaranteed to be true based on the premises being true. My argument is also sound because the premises ARE true (as opposed to only possibly being true). So my argument is both sound and valid.

I still question validity of your argument, because, "Guess what"? "You only prove my point farther," because who's to say the standard of a Star Guardian is to have human-like aspects about them? What if there are creatures like Fizz, or Vel'Koz, or Urgot that are Star Guardians that Riot hasn't told us about? You have to consider the fact that there could be more than just the 5 we know and love. And who's to say Vel'Koz couldn't attend that very school? I mean, he does crave knowledge, yes? He could have very well given up his ways, like Jinx, to find knowledge by other better, more honest means. Maybe he uses his knowledge for the greater good, just as Jinx uses her talents for good. It'd only make sense.

Some people argue that Ezreal shouldn't be a Star Guardian because he's a male. For instance, your argument could potentially translate as follows: "Ezreal shouldn't be a Star Guardian, because all current Star Guardians are female. Yes, he might be human, but he is male and does not fit the Star Guardian criteria because of it." Yet they are making Star Guardian Ezreal anyways.

Sometimes the least likely end up being the most heroic and have the largest impact on people's lives, my friend. I think that's the message Riot's trying to get across with their choices in Star Guardians.

Not true, Vel'Koz is fully NOT capable of becoming a star guardian. Star Guardians are nice, friendly and they work together as a team. He's an alien who from what we've read in his lore has no compassion and disintegrates people to collect scientific data... Maybe he'd be better off Dark Star bud. He's kinda neutral though, not evil or good. He shouldn't have a Star Guardian skin in the first place. Just a science guy! MasterYi

Not gonna lie. Half expected Vel'Koz to say something like, "WATCH ME LASER LIKE SINπ!" while ulting, haha.

Except for it needing the genuine voice actor, it is literally ready for shipping.

Out of all these garbage skin ideas for generic champions that have 10+ skins, this one is one i'd pay good money for. It's an obvious but an unpopular idea. Great job!

It's so WEIRD to hear Velkoz talk about his sin π like that, and all the cutesy animu schoolgirl references...

I love it, Riot pls make this into a skin

It's a really nice skin. My only problem with it is that it's a pink skin on a pink character. With the voice line changes and everything this would be an 1820 skin, and for that much I would like a little difference on the color. Maybe an orange, or a green.

Star Guardian Urgot.... now that needs be a thing lols. I predict every Urgot main would buy it, just because it would be so hilarious.

Good skin, but the star guardian skins are all very nice people. Vel'Koz is an alien who disintegrates enemies to collect data lol. Maybe not star guardian, but Dark Star works. Good custom skin to make but probably won't be introduced to Riot.
