The Gaurdian - A New Champion
Although I don't have any idea about how this champ would look like, the story behind him, background and what not, I think the abilities or mechanics provided below are a good start :)
The general concept around this melee champ is that he is synergistic with the towers/turrets, now I know what you might think, that it could be op or not balanced, but first take a look at the abilities:
First lets talk about the passive: Given that he is united with the towers, he is expected to stick around them most of the time, so every minion the tower kills could grant him some sort of buff, mana, health or gold. This could be unlimited for every minion or limited with a cool down timer.
Q: It is a skill shot with a decent range, if it hits an enemy champ makes your basic attacks empowered plus it aggravates your minions to attack the enemy champ immediately.
W: It works as a shield, you merge into a targeted tower and become one entity with it. All damage is inflicted to the tower and not you. Plus the tower shot damage increases. If cast on an enemy tower, the shielding time is smaller and the damage of the tower shot decreases.
E: Set some sort of trap on the ground that is invisible to the enemies. When activated it stuns the target. If the enemy steps on a trap in range of a tower, the tower focuses on him ignoring all other targets for a period of time.
R: Grants a nearby tower more power, that increases its range, attack speed and damage for a certain period of time. (This could also be cast on enemy towers to disable them or not, depends).
Now on the top of my head I can think of a couple of effective game plays that could happen, like trapping an enemy with E first then Q to get a nice trade, when on the verge of death merge with a tower to buy some time for your teammates to help, trap enemy under tower then Q then W to get some increased tower shot damage...
With all that power, there is this one disadvantage of you not being able to help much in jungle or river team fights it could be more often a 4v5 fights since a good chunk of your damage comes from towers and minions around you. You could think of this champ as a more defensive and lane sustain provider with the abilities to defend tower for a longer periods of times, this could give a new spinoff to the flow of matches and could trigger some new tactics for your team to follow as well as the enemy team.
Let me know what you guys think, I would love to hear your feedback and who knows, maybe this could gain some traction :)
