Would it be great to have your own original summoner icon? To let players upload icons. Like facebook or skype profile picture. I wonder if players dont get bored same 20 icons for milions of players. Im sure some one discuss about this before cose its seems so obvious. (sry for my terrible english)
Great now they need to implement offensive Icon as well. Also why would they add this if they can use Icons as income ? (I could just upload a copy of an existing icon without ever buying it)

Maybe they can make a icon creator with limited options (so basically you have elements which you can combine to make a logo, something along the lines of hextech crafting but actually also very different. You could also win such elements and summoner icon backgrounds out of normal games just like hextech keys and other things but there will be special elements which you only can buy with RP so riot won't lose it's income that much.
Maybe if there was a contest for it and only the top three would be able to be purchased in game.
