Xindai is a champion I've had on my mind for a while now, and his abilities went through a lot of stages to get to where they are now. He's meant to be a telepath and manipulator who takes the will of those around him with the subtlest of actions. Often times, they don't even know It's happening.

---Summary--- Xindai is a ranged fighter, and is best suited for mid lane. He excels in fighting against a single opponent, pushing a lane relentlessly, and hunting down fleeing enemies after a confrontation. With good cooperation with his team, Xindai can prove to be a very useful champion in setting up kills, as well as deadly ambushes.

Xindai's main power lies in the chaining of his abilities to create a devastating combo that once caught in, is difficult to escape. With his passive, he'll push his lane a fair bit harder than his opponent. He's intended to be a champion that you want to be aggressive with, but given that his power lies in 1v1, ganks will often result in his death if you get too aggressive. Once he uses his abilities to chop away at the health of his target, he has few options until they come off cooldown, leaving him vulnerable and reducing his teamfight presence.

In teamfights, Xindai wants to be away from the immediate center of action and assist from afar with his ult. However, since his is revealed and immobile during it, a wrong position when using it will make him a sitting duck for after he exits.

---Lore---

What is a heart?

The very thing that drives humans to be what they are. The thing that drives a soldier to dive headfirst into enemy lines. A mother to give her life for her child. A hero to achieve the impossible. If one could learn to wield their heart to mastery, surely they could be whatever they desired? However, there is a step beyond that. Imagine if one could control the hearts of those around him and bend them to his will. He could make the world itself into what he desired.

That was the initial theory which set Xindai on his course.

He was cunning by nature, and coercive to an unnatural degree. Most people he met, he could talk into most things, but that was only words. He wanted power over their will. He wanted to know their hearts, and the weaknesses of them. Finally, in a place which few dare imagine, he found his answer. The Void. After seeing the effects it had on Malzahar, he knew that the void was where the answer lied. However, Xindai was no fool. The Void held the power he sought, but in order to obtain it, he'd have to overcome it. He wouldn't risk having his own will surrendered to the darkness.

Instead, he simply used the concept of the void's power as a springboard. He took the theories of them, studied them immensely, and in the end, he created a power entirely new. There was no name for such a force. How could there be? He'd invented it himself. Void magic was the closest thing it could be compared against, but while the void was a parasite which infected and took over the minds of its victims, he was a whisper. He was a voice in the back of your head steering you toward him. His gaze was much more than physical. He looked into the very fabric of who you were. He planted the seeds which bent their will to become his, all without them ever even knowing it. In some ways, this was more deadly. He didn't just control their minds, he controlled their souls. Human will had become his, and all the power it held with it.

"He's a dangerous one. Not because of the power he holds, but because of his lack of a need to use it." -Swain

---Abilities--- Stolen Will: Upon dealing the killing blow to an enemy lane minion with a basic attack, the minion becomes Xindai's, and will fight as though it were a minion spawned from his nexus. The minion rewards the gold for being killed to Xindai upon being killed the second time, and does not grant him gold initially. This effect cannot occur more than once every eight seconds. The minion's health will decay over time.

Wit's Edge: Xindai throws out his glaive in a straight line, dealing damage to units it passes through. Upon striking a champion, it curves back in a crescent shape. If Xindai catches it, the cooldown is reduced. It cannot strike the same target more than once.

If Xindai activates Mind's Grip during the return, it will gravitate toward his current location.

Mind's Grip: Xindai sends out a telekinetic wave, slightly displacing and dealing magic damage to all enemies it passes through. If the target is marked by Seeds of Hesitation, the target will take greatly increased damage and instead be knocked up for a short duration

When Xindai activates Mind's Grip, an outline of nearby enemy champions will be shown to Xindai's team, and he himself will gain the ability to see their autopathing momentarily.

Seeds of Hesitation: Xindai fires out a bolt of dark magic, dealing magic damage to the first target it strikes. If he successfully hits a target with it, he can reactivate the ability to deal additional magic damage and slow the target. Upon being struck with the second hit, the target is marked for a few seconds.

Fortress of Thought: Xindai channels for 2.5 seconds. This channel can be interrupted by damage, and the ability will be put on a short cooldown if it is. Upon successfully channeling, Xindai expands his mind to warp the surrounding area. becoming immobile and untargetable for seven seconds, and revealing himself. Champions within a 3200 radius of Xindai will be revealed. Around them, Transient warriors taken by Xindai will spawn around them, attacking only the champion they were summoned to kill. as that champion remains within the range of the ability, more warriors will spawn to attack them. The warriors will chase their targeted champion even outside of the range, but when they exit, their health will begin to decay. The rate of decay increases the further away from Xindai they get.
