gonna be real with you, because of SMITE the game this will likely not be possible.

I thought about that but, smite can't own the idea or images of greek gods. I hope there is a way to get around it. Thanks for the input though. Syndra

no but im pretty sure riot doesn't want to step on any toes and would like to avoid any court cost.

The way Riot will have court problems is if they make them too similar to the ones in SMITE. It's not about if you will step on someone elses toes, it's about how hard you step on their toes.

It's all about Risks vs Rewards. If you don't stick your head out how do you know if it is safe or not. I'm tired of hearing Copyright/Trade Mark infringement especially when comes to skins involving Mythology.

Honestly, i just don't think the risk is worth the reward for them. The could easily make more money on more PROJECT, battlecast, arcade, or ultimate skin. I'm not saying there isn't a market for those skins but i doupt they will ever do skins based off mythology directly by name (i'm aware we already have a few Cassiopeia )

What risk is there in Mythic Ashe, Leona, Syndra, Bard, Gragas, Brand, Master Yi, Yorick, Fizz, Swain, Olaf, Ahri, Katarina, and Viktor to go along with Mythic Cassiopeia?

Sometimes you got to step away from the futuristic skins and go back into the past a bit.

Hestia is a virgin goddess of the hearth, architecture, and the right ordering of domesticity, the family, and the state.

idk about the virgin part, but Kata is pretty much a "my family is awesome I do as they wish and I command them cuz I want to" and "loyalty to her country" is pretty much too... Sooo... He does have a small point on it :D

Hestia is described as a crimson hair girl, just like Kata

Hey guys, Greek gods, Norse gods, Egyptian gods, and, in fact, any deity that wasn't specifically invented for someone's personal art piece are public domain. This means that you can use any likeness of them because they are not copyrighted or trademarked, nor can the concept of them ever be.

Smite may have deities in their game, but only those exact depictions in their art styles are trademarked. Riot could easily base several champs on gods and there would be absolutely no way for them to get in trouble unless they deliberately rip off the copyrighted appearance of a Smite character.

Yeah but smite kinda screws with the gods to fit their champions.

Really, Ares has a fucking zweihander? Those were literally impossible to make when he was praised. And all the chains he throws? There is one statue of Ares in chains in Sparta as a symbol that martial valor would never leave the city. That was it. And it wasn't uncommon. Athens did the same with a statue of Nike, for example.
