What do you think about marking your favorite champs (with some sort of star/fav button) so that they appear in the first position in the champion select screen?
You would have more time discussing with your team what champ to pick.
You could for example favorite your main champs and those you want to main in the future.

Why I'd prefer the fav button though is that you sometimes want meta picks, even if you didn't play them that often in the past.
For example Tahm, Poppy etc.
