What do you think about marking your favorite champs (with some sort of star/fav button) so that they appear in the first position in the champion select screen?
You would have more time discussing with your team what champ to pick.
You could for example favorite your main champs and those you want to main in the future.

excellent idea. alternatively, during champ select champions could automatically be organized by champion mastery instead of alphabetically

or you could write it in the search bar and tadaaaaam
Well it would work for people with smaller champion rosters, but as a more expierenced player i won't need it as i can comprehend looking at the entire grid and wondering what to pick.
