(NOTE: I already made this comment in the PBE Boards, but I'm not sure that Katey will notice it in time.)

Hey, Katey, before the skin is launched, may I ask why didn't the W shield get any new particles to match the new model (it still has the classic Galio model floating)? I believe that it still could and has a few more days to be changed like you did with Warden Nautilus' W shield particle. :)

I seriously LOVE the splash! ;D I wish that his head would have been bigger like in the splash and his hands and fingers would have textures similar to the splash' more chunky and not-in-one-piece fingers, but that would probably make him stay in the PBE for another cycle, right? :P I think that if the stuff I mentioned above will change, the skin would be perfect :) I won't mind it staying another cycle anyways.

Hey DwarvenGiant!

First off, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback in regards to content!

We chose to keep the base particle because he was a 750 RP skin, and those generally don't receive particles, unless it's what we deem 'quality of life'. For example, Waden Nautilus would look pretty silly with his base shields when the Warden skin isn't nautical (heh) at all. Warden Sivir fell into the same category - it'd look silly if she had a new weapon in her model, but threw her old one. We felt that his base shield didn't ruin the fantasy of Debonair, which is why he's still using the base.

Unfortunately, it's a bit too late to make any more changes to his guy, and he'll be shipping as is.

I (as well as the other QA folks on the skins team) read all of the PBE comments left for a skin, even though we may not comment on all of them. We also relay said feedback to the team working on the skin for discussion. Although we don't make every change requested, we do try to listen to actionable feedback when possible - I think for the most part, Debonair Galio is a good example of this.

You mean, "as is," as in like his one PBE re-release?

It's been 21 days since you asked us what we thought of his revisions... there are a fair bit of up-voted critiques asking for only further minor tweaks at this point. Why'd you even ask what we thought if you weren't going to be willing to make some more tweaks? At least, super minor ones.

Like a lot of critiques about texture (or lack thereof) & the purple.

...he's not coming out in Patch 5.6, so we're not rushing him by any means.

Feels rushed since it appears like your discussions with the team turned into "no, sorry, despite the continued critiques, we're shipping him out anyway; pipeline."

The things asked for in the thread aren't even outside the skin-tier, so what you're telling us is that they're rushing it out after all instead of giving it that little bit of extra TLC to please the consumers who were asked their feedback another time (now, to no avail & for what purpose?).

I am curious about this too. I like Galio and use him on occasion. Riot did the same exact thing with Ashes marauder skin refusing to simply change the particle effects to red or black. That is the only complaint and was a huge outrage yet riot refused saying that it would no longer work in that price bracket even though others in the same bracket had more work.

TL;DR: Riot legitimizes any of its decisions (popular/unpopular, good/bad, right/wrong, etc.) by saying "we don't promise anything; here are some generalizations that we can ignore at will. Let those generalizations comfort you enough to convince you to place faith in our company until we inevitably do something you seriously disagree with, then enjoy simmering as we get away with it because we technically said we could do it."
