Me again... =P

My third custom skin... Jinxora (or alien Jinx). She's Alistarax's (or alien Alistar) partner... that I mentioned in the other thread...

Hope you like it. Huehue. XD

Well done, looks pretty cool!

On a side note I was hoping you could help me; I'm interested in making some custom skins myself but i cant seem to be able to convert the .skn files to .obj files (or find some other way to use them). Online i keep finding people pointing to skntoobj.exe which I've tried but only works for a handful of champions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First off, sorry for taking so long to see your comment... I don't keep up with this forum as much as I should. I'm not quite sure what your issue is, so bear with me. I'll start at the very beginning.

  1. First, you'll need to install SIU (Skin Installer Ultimate): https://sites.google.com/site/siuupdates/

This program will "retrieve" the skin files from within the game for you. You're going to be looking for files with the ".DDS" extension.

  1. In order to open and edit these files, you'll need to install the Photoshop DDS plugin: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop

Now you can open the DDS files in Photoshop and start editing them... it's a lot like "painting" in Photoshop.

  1. Once you're done editing, go back to SIU and install the skin back into the game... start the game up and there you go. If all went well, the skin you created will have replaced the original Riot skin.

Here's a tutorial that I watched before I got started creating my own skins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6rAUrFtd54

It was really helpful in getting the whole thing to work properly... it's a bit of a hassle, bit once you get through it... well, you'll be limited only by your own creativity. ^_~

I hope that was helpful... if you need any further help, just ask. Like I said, I don't keep up with this forum as much as I should, so feel free to send me an email... or facebook message... or whatever. =)
