New Champion concepts

So I have been chatting with my friends as of recently about the League of Legends champions and I decided to challenge myself with coming up with a new idea... a Dual Form Champ or DFC. With some contrast i have designed this champion to have some fire-ice components such as his fire form (a very ability power based form) and his ice form (a very defensive tank based form) where his passive grants an item that allows the player to switch forms, it comes with a 60 sec cool-down which can be bought for free in the shop (sorta like Viktors passive). being that his fire form is a mage assassin sorta I made him with a burn dmg output, otherwise his counter ego would have a slow stun effect. By utilizing his ability to cast off lots of dmg then switch to a tank to shield it all up can make him very strategic to play... let me know how you all like this idea . I have made a list of fire abilities and ice abilities ,but i would like to see what you guys have in mind first.

Might I suggest Fire and Rock? Then the theme could be cooling down into the slag. Skins could also be made: Water and Ice, Mech, perhaps even solar and black hole.

I also want to warn you that making this concept balanced will be difficult. Especially gauging how the item affects his gameplay.

Suggestions:

Dual passive; for instance: Sunfire Cape-esque passive in fire vs. shield upon switching to rock form. (Like Malphite's passive, doesn't disappear. Provides tankiness he's not likely to get from items.)

Ability Suggestions Mage:

  1. Artillery skillshot
  2. DoT skillshot to fit the fire theme (Like lobbing a sphere of flame at a target location)
  3. Some AoE waveclear, perhaps in the form of a propagating wave?
  4. An ability that causes the next auto to become a skillshot with guaranteed crit and extra AP damage?
  5. Some sort of means to burn people that come too close? Perhaps simply burning enemies that he collides with. (eg. passive suggestion.)

Ability Suggestions Tank:

  1. I'd suggest a knockback or knockup of some sort, perhaps applied on an auto. (Or a freeze if you decide to keep with the ice theme.)
  2. Extra damage applied at close range, either an auto or a broad skillshot.
  3. AoE self-centered rupture for teamfight damage, perhaps applying a slow.
  4. An artillery skillshot that launches a piece of himself at range. Some interesting ideas could come from that.
  5. When he transforms back or dies in this form, he could shatter, dealing AoE damage.

Note that in general I'm suggesting his Mage form be skillshot reliant, and his Tank form be range reliant. That way there's an innate weakness for each form that directly corresponds to the strengths of the other form.

You know, we have damaging fire characters and tanky ice characters in every game....why don't you switch it around for a change...Make a defensively strong fire character and a offensively strong ice character :D THAT would be cool :)

So... like Jayce, Nidalee, or Evelynn, but switching between CC and offense? I suppose it could be done. Interesting idea tying it to an item so both forms keep an Ultimate, though that may make him elbow into Viktor's territory a bit. Then again, this guy's item focuses on its active effect while Viktor's Hextech Core is all about its passive effects, so I suppose it could still be doable.

I really dislike the fact that you can't change forms repeatedly and combine their effects, which is the main appeal of Form changing Champions to me. As is you have a mage that can become tanky if he ever gets caught out of position or after he used his rotation in a TF.

Depending on how his damage and tankyness scales he could easily be OP or UP
