Some good ideas, and perhaps the crunchier more punchy base is to someone's liking. However, you need to worry about the backtrack vocals harmony line as it doesn't fit in the scale (the G, F#, Bb). It ends up changing the colour of the song. I know music theory has endless options with the chords you can put together, but complex jazz tones are probably not the aim for this kind of song.
