New Champ Idea
I've no thoughts of artwork, and only minor ideas on lore, but I have a great idea for a mechanic that may or may not be buggy or OP but still sounds really cool. I've comprised a kit for this new champ, and have thought on it about how to make it appear fairly balanced to start with. So here it is:
Name: Kilomanshi (Only a placeholder) Title: The Haunting Soul
Role: Tanky and a mage, so top lane and mid will most likely be the lanes this champ will reside in. Ranged basic attacks, so there's some poke just from that.
Kit: The whole idea for the champ is the concept of Possession, as in, possessing and controlling enemy minions and champs. Ridiculous? Maybe. Cool as hell? Absolutely! OP? Maybe, but I've considered ways as to balance it.
Passive: (Not that important, can be changed easily) Torment- First basic attack against an enemy unit fears that unit for (.5, 1, 1.5, 2) seconds. Has a 30 (maybe up to 60) second cooldown. Emphasis on "first," as in cannot be applied to the same enemy multiple times.
Q: Terrorise- Basic attack buff, next basic attack will deal extra damage. If this ability kills that unit, it explodes, dealing damage to nearby enemies. More damage for poke, good for farming.
W: Revenant- Kilomanshi enters a sort of "wraith form" for 5 seconds. Becomes untargetable, avoids unit collision, and if used near a wall, is able to travel through that wall. However, will exit wraith mode once through the wall. Most likely a long cool down for this.
E: Haunting- Here's the first of the new magic. Possess an enemy minion or a jungle creep. Leeches life constantly from the "host" during the duration, giving you health. If this unit dies from outward damage (that is, damage recieved), then a half of the life you would've received from the Leeching is given, rather than the full amount. Can only use the attacks of that unit (for example, will peck if possessing a raptor, or will use those ranged attacks that the caster and siege minion does). If, after 10 seconds that the host is still alive, or upon reactivation, the unit dies, exploding and dealing damage to units around it. Obviously a fairly long cooldown for this, but that's about what all I could think of for it.
R: Possession- Here comes the "OP" sort of factor. Possess an enemy champ for a total of 5 seconds. A third (or half) of the damage that champion receives will be done to Kilomanshi upon ending Possession. Kilomanshi gains control of the champion, but can only move and basic attack. Items the champ has (or Kilomanshi has) cannot be used nor proc'd (not quite sure if that is a mechanic in the game to allow, but oh well). After the 5 seconds, Kilomanshi returns to the location the Possession originally occurred (not that long of a range to cast, I'd imagine). If the enemy champion's health is to reach 0, it does not and cannot die, and upon the end of the Possession, the enemy champ becomes invulnerable for 2 seconds, thus after will have only 1 health, and has the potential to survive, assuming escape can be achieved.
Lastly, Lore, which I didn't put tooo much thought into, but this champ most definitely comes from the Dark Isles, I'd think.
"Kilomanshi used to be an adventurer: so much so, that no one knows where his upbringing occurred. One thing is certain: upon hearing of the dark tales of the Dark Isles, he just had to go. No place was a challenge to him! He is not fearful!
That was a big mistake. Upon stepping foot and going inland, Kilomanshi and his small crew was attacked. There were no survivors. No one knows what fate had done to them, but it is said that they had vanished completely, without a trace.
Not Kilomanshi, though. His soul lived, and because of the nature of the Dark Isles, it is not the same as it was when he was alive. It is twisted, dark, vengeful, and haunting. Kilomanshi has become aware of the new state he is in, and rejoices in his powers, due to his now dark stature. He only has one goal now: to haunt the living, and become the most powerful Soul in all the lands."
That about wraps up everything I had for this idea, and I just wanted to have feedback and see if there could possibly be anything to implement the idea, maybe, for the whole kit or just parts. Heck, if the whole thing seems way to OP, or too complicated to code, then it's fine by me that nothing concerning this happens. I just wanted to get the idea out there.
