(There’s no prologue. I hope you enjoy my Champion Concept - Vidar)
#Lore "Gold creates a illusion of power. A legendary item on the other hand means true power." - Vidar – The Black Marketeer
*"The League of Legends - the Fields of Justice - is a battlefield of immersive decisions and crucial battles. Across whole Runeterra, contestants and Champions alike fight for their own nation or desires, and frighten the very bones of outsiders once their weapons meet. Outside of the Fields of Justice, gold rules, it pays the retention of balance, yet the golden coin is anything else, but not in balance. Vidar, the Black Marketeer, is the next in line of a famous family known as shopkeepers and travelling merchant, who knows the true value of an item. *
*The meaning and value of legendary items and gold has been told through out every generation and Vidar was no exception. One particular item has always astonished Vidar, like even gold has lost its meaning compared to that item, even for him. It was a magic book that has been said to be lost during the Rune Wars, but Vidar’s father possessed it. Vidar’s greed evolved over the years, to read and learn the forbidden things his father kept away from him. Vidar went so far to hire an assassin in order to kill his father and gain access. Unfortunately, the book was nowhere to find. *
When Vidar searched for the last possible hideout, he found a testament of his father, where a torn page from the magic book was, together with a letter that contained following phrases ‘My son, if you read this, then I am most likely dead. The most precious item in my life shall be now yours, but first you need to find it on your own. If you are truly a descendant worthy of being the next shopkeeper in the family line, then you will find it. Many years passed since then and Vidar became a Black Marketeer, stealing goods and selling them for a greater price, mostly for information about his most desired item – the magic book.
Eventually Vidar found the last piece of information regarding the location of the magic book – and it was supposed to be in possession by someone in the League of Legends. With a goal in his life, Vidar joined the League of Legends in order to find more information of his’ father’s book, and eventually hold the legendary item he always desired. "

#Champion Explanation
- *Vidar is a 28 years old young man who truly believes that no gold of this world is worth than a legendary weapon or armor that inherits great power. He’s somewhat an adventurer who takes pride in loot rather than the actual effort like fighting for it. Vidar is smart, but also foolish, but knows how to bargain the best way. *
- *Vidar seeks true power, even though he knows that gold is the most easily achievable power. Vidar acts as a Black Marketeer in the League of Legends, who can trade items from enemies to him or allies. *
- *Since Vidar was a little boy, he was fascinated by the magic that the book of his father contained. He believed that the book would create his wish of a world without materialism. It sounds ironically that a future shopkeeper thinks like that, but that was his wish when he was a child. Unfortunately, every good soul who wishes something that never comes true, becomes one day more wicked than good, thus ordered to kill his father and gain access to the magic book. For now, he’s a very wealthy black Marketeer, but he still wishes the book, because something inside of him claims the thoughts of a better world, even though he sacrifices his soul and humanity by chasing his dream. *
- There are many Champions who possess books themselves; some of them even carry books while on the battleground. Vidar looks out for every item that is purchasable on the Fields of Justice, but he doesn’t think of other people inside of the League of Legends – like for example the shopkeepers themselves. The book stays hidden, for now.
- If you might wonder how Vidar can be capable of fighting on the fields of justice; it is the torn page from the book that his father put in his testament. It is a technique or rather said magic spell to open dimensions and use them as storage or transportation. Perfect for a shopkeeper, eh? That’s why Vidar became a very popular black marketeer.
- *Vidar fills the role of Only-Support. Most of other Supports can deal great damage and support their team, while Vidar himself deals almost none damage, but can support his team in a tremendous way. *

#Abilities
VIDAR BEGINS THE GAME WITH A SPECIAL TRINKET NAMED ‘PICKPOCKET’. Pickpocket gives Vidar the same ability as a normal trinket, with the difference that once Vidar has copied an enemy Champion’s item, it’ll be replaced with the trinket and can be activated through the use of the trinket slot.
#Innate Passive - 'Payday':
Vidar gains every second +1 Gold income.
In addition, whenever Vidar damages an enemy Champion, the Gold amount he gains per second is increased from +1, up to a max of +3 for 3.5 seconds. This includes when Hidden Cloak is active on an allied Champion.
#Q () – ‘Transportation Rift‘:
*Vidar selects a location within 800 unit around him. If he did chose a location, he then can within the next 3.5 seconds, recast to create a 250/300/350/400/450 range wide rift directly in front of him. Allied Champions and enemy Champions alike who enters the rift, are immediately teleported to the location which Vidar has selected before. The rift lasts for 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds *
- Info: Can be once again recast to break the portal. Initial cast has a 0.3 seconds cast and recast has a 0.5 seconds cast. Can be interrupted. Can be cast while ‘Hidden Cloak’ is active.
- **Mana Cost: ** 60/70/80/90/100
- **Cooldown: ** 21/19.5/18/16.5/15

#W () - 'Duplicity'
Upon activation, Vidar goes through every slot of his inventory, including the bonus slot for his Ultimate. For* 4.5 seconds**, Vidar is able to choose one item in his inventory by activating W again when his item shows up. If he has selected one item, he can activate Duplicity once again within 3 seconds and cast it onto an ally Champion. The allied Champion receives for 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 seconds a buff, containing the item’s stats and passives, but not actives. *
- Info: Works similar to Twisted Fate’s W. Unique Passives won’t stack. For example: Vidar has Phantom Dancer, he chooses it and gives it to his allied Champion as a buff – the allied Champion receives +50 attackspeed, ecetera, as a buff for a short duration.
- **Mana Cost: ** 85/88/91/94/97
- **Cooldown: ** 18/17/16/15/14

#E () - 'Hidden Cloak':
On ally Champion: Within 450 range around Vidar, he immediately disappears and appears as a* second cloak** on the ally Champion and following the Champion. For 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds, Vidar becomes untargetable, but receives the same damage as his wearer does. For the duration of Vidar’s disappearance, Vidar shares his armor and magic resistance to the occupied allied Champion. *
On enemy Champion: Vidar smites the target, causing the target to suffer 75/85/95/105/115(+70% AP)(20% Bonus AD) magic damage over 4 seconds. If the target dies while active, 2%/3%/4%/5%/6% of his max health is restored (This is doubled against enemy Champions).
- **Mana Cost: ** 65/75/85/95/105
- **Cooldown: ** 16/15.5/15/14.5/14
#Ultimate - 'Criminal Transaction':
*Vidar selects a enemy Champion within 750 range. Upon activation, Vidar links himself to the enemy Champion as long as the target doesn’t leave the 750 range and for 4 seconds. Above Vidar’s skillbar pops up a view of the enemy target’s inventory. Through pressing the corresponding inventory slot number or clicking on the specific item, Vidar will take a copy of that certain item and put it into his trinket slot for 4/5/6 seconds. *
- Info: The link itself can be stopped by silence or when going out of range. The copied item can be transferred to a allied Champion as a buff with W – Duplicity.
- **Mana Cost: ** 100
- **Cooldown: ** 120/110/100

#Concept Explanation
Vidar opens a new way of supporting. Most Supports support their Marksman or team by purchasing tank items in order to peel, initiate or disengage. Some other Supports like to get damage items in order to lay down an enemy on the silver plate for its team. In this case, Vidar lives to support. He doesn’t just buy items so that he can deal damage or hold longer in teamfights – he literally buys items for his team mates. He can share different items in order to effectively boost his team mates for a short time. While on one side many may think that this might be overpowered, but it really isn’t.
- Innate Passive gives him the stability he needs in order to functionally work as a Support who is willing to make sacrifices. 60 gold per minute. If he attacks enemy Champions, he receives for a short time +2 or +3 Gold per second, depending on how often he has attacked.
- His Q can transport a whole team or even two teams through a portal. This is great for setting up ambushes or for disengages. Vidar can open a portal that leads through walls for example. However, this can also be exploited by the enemy and using it to escape.
- The W allows Vidar to choose one of his items to be transferred as a buff to one of his ally Champions for a short duration.
- E serves as a escape ability, support ability or damage ability. Due to the lack no escape ability, Vidar can appear at an ally Champion’s location and escape. His Q is not a real escape ability, atleast not for himself.
- Last, but not least - The Ultimate which gives Vidar the ability to copy an enemy’s item and use it for his own advantage or his ally’s advantage
Vidar is strong against a non-poking bot compilation and can outsmart and trick opponents who are more aggressive through direct actions. Vidar is weak against dominating poking enemies, who spam their abilities onto him to eternity, because he lacks on survivability on his own.
