Potential Ao Shin Petition
When Bard was fully revealed earlier today, I was both fascinated and smashed across the floor with a metaphorical hammer. I felt conflicted because while I like Bard, I was expecting, well, someone else. Over the weekend, I had spent a great amount of time figuring out who the champion teaser would reveal and one in particular: Ao Shin. (For those who aren't in the know: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ao_Shin ) When I first gazed upon his in-progress designs, I was wowed beyond belief, ready for that champ to be released ASAP. But...As I learned, Ao Shin's concept is about a year old. How in the world could such a glorious concept be delayed for so long? As Riot puts it "[W]e try and push the limits of what's technically and creatively possible. Ao Shin is no different. One of the challenges we're looking forward to tackling is how to capture his unique anatomy and movement in a way that brings a new dimension to the champion pool. It's too early to go into much detail, but we're really excited about the ways this champion will move across the battlefield." So...Ao Shin's been put off because of a creativity block? As a fellow artist/designer, I understand these situations are tough but every design that Riot's made has been amazing, so if you're already that awesome, why hold back? Why worry? You'll do great regardless!
Now, while Riot has (hopefully) been tinkering away at Shin, I've been thinking of ways to keep his memory alive and to show Riot that we still care about him. It had to be not only easy and simple but equally effective. So what's easier than a petition?
The objective is simple: Simply leave: " Dragon up!
" as a reply (or after your comment) if you want Ao Shin to be fully developed and part of the champion roster (As an alternative you can answer the poll below). Let's see how much support we can get and give Riot a little nudge in the right direction! You can also post any fan art and whatnot of Ao Shin in the comments, too.
Let's work together and get 'im done! ![]()
