Graphics Card Check on Login/PreChampion Select

I have recently reformatted my C drive and re-installed Windows 7 to try and rid myself of some viruses. I have an AMD graphics card and had some issues with getting the latest drivers, but eventually figured it out.

In any case, during some of my ups and downs, I logged into LoL, queued for a match, went thru the 5 minute champion selection and ban phase, etc, etc, and then it goes to load the game it crashes. Now that I've experienced this issue a few times, and figured out what's going on, my DirectX work sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. On the days, it doesn't, I'm getting an afk/leave. Which is totally my fault. And I now know to run dxdiag before every game I play to avoid this issue. So, I'm not making excuses, these issues were 100% my fault and on my computer's side. HOWEVER, why can't LoL check to make sure you machine can create a Graphics Context upfront??? As opposed to being able to login, and go thru a champion selection, and then only to find out something is wrong with the graphics card/drivers/directX??? I just wasted 9 players times, a few times over the past few days and feel awful about it, and now i can think i can avoid b/c i know what's been going on.

I'd love to see some sort of graphics check when you login, or before you queue for a match. I think this would increase the overall gaming experience for many. Please let me know what you think of this idea. Thanks for you time.
