Rune tracking spreadsheet

Demo Champions and Runes

Hey folks,

I'm working on a spreadsheet project for fun in Google Docs that lists all of the champions as well as recommended runes for them in different positions based on highly ranked guides online. (I'm not an author of any of the character guides themselves).

Initially this was something I was working on for my own benefit to see what runes seemed to be the most popular and thus the ones I should try saving up for, but I got to the point that I thought hey, with a few more features, this could be useful for other people too.

I am not an excel/spreadsheet wizard, and this is project is pushing me to near the edge of my skills as well as getting me to learn some new ones. I'm employed full time, married, and have two small children, so I don't have a ton of time for this project, but I'd love to get your feedback. I have a link above. Feel free to check it out and tell me what you think. There are some features I am still working on, but I think this will give you a bit of an idea of what I'm going for.

What do you think? Any suggestions or tips based on what you see? I'd appreciate your feedback.

When I'm done with this, I plan to make it freely available to the community- its been fun to work on and I've learned some things. I work with disadvantaged children, and I would ask that if someone really likes it, that they contribute a small amount of time or money to an organization in their community that does such work. Thanks for your view!

My plan would be that people could copy it to their own computer (google account or copy and paste it into another spreadsheet program) and then make their own changes, ie, indicate what champions and runes they own, etc.

If they wanted to use different guides/rune lists they could do so just by entering those in to the spreadsheet.

but when new champions are added, it would take a little more work to make a few slight changes to the spreadsheet. I do plan to continue working on that. The changes are not huge (I was able to add Jihn to the spreadsheet in about 60 seconds) and people who know spreadsheets could probably figure out how to do it on their own- if they wanted to do that, they would be free to do so.

I see myself focusing more on building and maintaining the structure of the spreadsheet and letting individual users pick their guides/rune lists/champs. The spreadsheet is currently populated with guides and rune lists to give some ideas of what runes are used in the current meta. I could keep tabs on that, but I would expect some users would want to put their own guides or rune lists in, and they would be free to do so. My job would focus more on keeping the spreadsheet working with some guides and allowing people to adjust the content they like.

I'm glad you like it and I'll keep working on it!

Updated link-

Hey folks. I have updated the spreadsheet document. All of the roles now have drop down access to change the runes. The next step will be putting a link to each run on the Sortable Characters Page; this will allow users to quickly see what characters have the same rune profiles in one place.

Here is the updated Link:
