Kurava the Hexraiser (CONCEPT)
Hey guys! I just wanted to post this character idea that's been sitting in the back of my head, feel free to add to it if you like, especially with actual damage figures (I'm horrible with numbers, guys, help me XD )
Bio Kurava is an ancient witch, nearly as old as the Black Rose itself, and assists Leblanc govern its loose hierarchy of magicians through her strength and power.
The Order of the Black Rose may value subtlety over physical strength, but Noxian culture still influences even its most core members. Even the most cerebral witches and warlocks view power as the highest natural virtue, whether it is attained through physical or magical means. For Kurava, her power came at a steep cost, and still costs her to this day.
As a young woman, Kurava was taken, captured by Demacian soldiers. She expected to be treated with mercy and respect, but these were not ordinary Demacian soldiers. They had been banished by their general for war crimes of the most dishonorable kind, and their intent was anything but pure. The cruelty she received at their hands was nothing short of unspeakable; it is an atrocity that is burned into her mind for eternity.
That night, in her shackles, Kurava prayed to the ancient gods of Noxus, and begged to recieve power to seek vengeance, not caring about the cost. In that moment, she heard a click as her bonds quietly clicked open, seemingly by themselves, and a whispering voice in her mind, and that told her what she must do. She too did unspeakable things that night, as the howling shrieks of the men who were meant to be her captors dragged on for hours and hours, until the dawn crept over the horizon. As it did, she felt new strength flow through her veins, and marched out of the camp a changed woman. An ancient and unfamiliar power had come to rest within her; it was a fierce and wild magic, one that hated to be chained. She returned to Noxus, and there, she made a living crafting spells and hexes for Noxus' underground, until she caught the attention of the Black Rose. Kurava rose to power, and it seemed that nothing could stop her.
However, even the wildest magics, as with all things, come with a cost. In order to remain alive, Kurava must sacrifice a whole family in order to renew her strength. The time given to her varies with every sacrifice; all Kurava knows is who she must end and when she must do it by. She has slaughtered hundreds, all in cold blood. A Freljordian couple traveling home. The last members of a Shuriman village. A Demacian noble family, under the name of Vayne--that house Kurava took special delight in ruining. It would seem that she never quite forgot the hands who had so violently twisted her.
However, with this most recent sacrifice, something went wrong. Kurava thought that she had destroyed all of the family, when in actuality, she missed one child. Enraged, and realizing that she couldn't go back to Demacia without risking her own neck, she waited patiently for the child to wander out of the safety of Demacia. Surprised to discover that the child she had been hunting had become an actual hunter herself, and one that had entered herself into the League of Legends, Kurava entered herself, in order to better understand the legendary Night Hunter, so that she may one day catch her and finally seal her immortality for yet another century, before her time runs out.
**Movekit ** Passive -- The Price of Magic: Kurava can sacrifice a portion of her own or an ally's maximum health in exchange for heightened magic and physical defense for the remainder of the team. For the rest of the game, whoever Kurava chooses will not recieve the maximum amount of health they would recieve from leveling up or from items, and they will not recieve the defense buff from Kurava's passive, but their other stats will remain unhindered.
Q -- Chaos Aura: (toggle) Kurava summons one of her hexes, which sacrifices health for power. A damaging field surrounds Kurava, damaging both her and all nearby enemies. This ability is toggled on and off, and the longer it is kept on, the more health is drained.
W -- Lust for Power: Kurava places a shield of antimagic around herself or an enemy champion. Around herself, it absorbs a set amount of damage and converts it into health. The shield can be broken; not all damage from a single attack will be ignored (someone like Lux firing her ult will still do a lot of damage)
E -- Hexprice: (passive) Kurava gains a percentage of magic defense the larger of a health stat that she has. (active) Kurava sacrifices a great deal of her own health and places a burning mark upon an enemy that slows them and increases ally damage upon the champion
R -- Hush: Kurava fires a wave of malefic energy. In return for also silencing Kurava for a fixed time, the beam silences and deals magic damage to all enemies hit for a percentage of their health.
Notes: Hey guys, final notes time!!! The idea for this champion was creating a mage that doesn't rely on mana, instead fueling her magic with her own life force. So out of that, I built a mage who's a little tanky, but who uses that tankiness to fuel her abilities. That said, she's probably going to rely on autoattacks because of how much her health would be drained if someone used her abilities all the time. But anyways, tell me what you think! Kurava is still WAY in the beginning concept phases, so any and all constructive criticism is welcome! Thanks so much guys!
