Break up Black Market Brawlers into two modes?
Since we won't be seeing Black market Brawlers come back, why not break the mode into two new ones by focusing on the two big aspects of the mode, which are the items and the minions. Essentially breaking it up into Black market mode and Brawler mode respectively.
Black Market- Buy black market items and upgrades using Krakens to help you destroy the enemy nexus.
- Unique Items/Upgrades- Same as the original mode, but with extra items being broken up into 3 categories. Black Market items, Black Market upgrades and Banned Items.
Black market items - items from the original black market brawlers plus a few new ones to add into the mix.
Black market Upgrades- Normal items with a black market upgrade added to them. Things like
>Black market
- fire bursts are released at a faster rate
Black market
- Active creates 3 AOE bursts
Black market
- Able to move and use summoners while active is in effect (still can't attack or use abilities )
Black Market
- Active now also makes allied turrets invincible and lets you build a temporary mini turret on top of you if you are not near any turrets when you activate turret.
Disclamer - all items here are not final ideas and are only here as proof of concept
Banned Items - Items that were removed from the game for one reason or another. Seeing as its a mode made to have powerful items, it would make sense to bring back items that were considered too strong before, such as but not limited too:
>Mana Manipulator - Aura - Mana Warp: Nearby allied champions gain +5 mana regeneration per 5 seconds. (1100 range) Deathfire Grasp - Active: Deals 15% of target champion's maximum health in magic damage and applies the debuff, Doom. Doom amplifies all magic damage that champion takes by 20% for 4 seconds. 90 second cooldown (750 range). Leviathan - Passive: Your champion gains 32 health per stack, receiving 2 stacks for a kill and 1 stack for an assist. This effect can stack 20 times; you lose a third of your stacks if you die. At 20 stacks, your champion takes 15% less damage. Breathstealer - Active: Reduces target enemy champion's ability power and attack damage by 70% for 4 seconds (600 range). 90 second cooldown.
- Hextech Dragon- On top the items, the dragons would be replaced with a Hextech dragon that gives everyone on your team Krakens when you kill it, making it easier to get black market items.
Brawlers- Upgrade your minions and Turrets to take the enemy nexus Pretty much this takes the concept of upgrading and altering your minions and adds on to it
-
Brawler Minions- All the minions from Black market brawlers come back, with unique upgrades for each one.
-
Raptors and Wolfs- Taking these camps will add 3 of the smaller monsters from those respective camps to the next minion wave.
-
Dragon - Taking a basic dragon gives you a Dragon summon in the same way as Rift Herald. The dragon acts on its own and primarily attacks the turret (so no need to worry about it messing with
's ghost Dragon). -
Turrets- Turret upgrades would give one turret of your choice an upgrade. It would work in a similar way to Rift herald where it takes over your trinket slot till you use it. Turret upgrades would range from:
> Shielding module - Shields allies for a % of the turrets HP Repair tool- (Think Tahm Kench E) 50% of damage taken becomes grey health that is slowly restored when not taking damage. Rocket upgrade- Turret shots become rockets that deal damage in an aoe for less damage then normal Laser upgrade- Turret now fires a beam that does steadily increasing damage as it damages a target.
Of course these two modes would be very different from Black Market Brawlers, but the hope is that each one would keep the two aspects of the mode alive while adding a bit more to what is there to make them feel like their own stand alone modes. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share them.
