Shaco's Rework
Hi, my name is Gildarzt, I come from EUW server, i'm spanish guy (I apologyze for my bad English from now) that want to share with all people I can my ideas and thoughts about my Main champion since 5 years ago.
Before start, I would like to explain what is Shaco for me and how I would change him to make as I think he whould be, so let's start.
What is Shaco? What is his essence? To me, Shaco always has been the most similar thing that lol has to the WOW's rogue subtlety, or the ilusionist in the GW2 or the nightblade of the Elder of Scrolls, that's a champion with huge mobility, tricks and with a gameplay based on the artfulness and play with the opponent mind to defeat it. They need their tricks to defeat someone, they cannot just come, use all and gets the kill (I think this is the most important difference between Shaco and the rest of lol's assasins like zed or talon).
Keeping that in mind we can see several points in common between all the others games champs I just mention:
- A lot of tricks
- Hight movility
- Spells or abilities focus on quibble
- Lower damage than the rest of the option for the class.
They have, of course, several weaknesses:
- Low health and weaks, depend of their tricks and mobility, the best defense is not get caught.
- Very dependant of their invisibility, create their opportunities and use it (usually you only have one).
If we read Shaco's lore we can find a few things.
- He is a great assassin, never got caught.
- He loves to make loud (when he wants, if not he can be like a shadow).
- He loves to make jokes, heavy ones.
Also if we consider his gameplay intil now we get that:
- He is a troll champ
- Based on appear and destoy making loud (he is invisible, then comes to visible with a fear box, a clone... he never go alone).
- Use his tricks to survive after appear.
- Probably the most strategic champion in the game (you always need to plan, prepare the box, think when you can jump etc.)
- Good duelist
- He never had been a skill rotation (combo?) he always needs items to suply that empty spaces between their abilities.
When riot soft-rework him I like it, because I see how they nerf his damage in exchange of give him more tricks (put box or use clone, doesn't reveal him, correct several bugs). After that they nerfed him several times.
Right now he is not good at all (actual win-rate is just because lethality broken build), so I want to propose a few changes that make him good and funny again, while trying no to be toxics for their enemies.
I want to write this in this forum because I can see this forum has much more activity than my own forum (I posted before in spanish anyways :P).
Ok, let's do this!
REWORK
Idea: My idea is to be the first character created for real skirmishes (they said that ekko would be, but it turned out to be a killer like all, a guy with an absurd damage that destroys you). A real opportunist killer, able to get in, get off 60% of your life (in normal situations) and escape, enter inflict damage and leave, if you stay you know he can re-enter and kill you. My intention is that when I enter, I will be able to keep a few seconds in the teamfight dancing, creating chaos (acronym of shaco in English by the way XD) and being an annoying distraction that if you leave it alone can kill adc without blinking.
His damage will be absolutely dependent on its build, to avoid that you do it full tank or the happy build of now (trinity, hydra and I destroy your buttonhole with my 3k of life) and you will not have reduction of damage nor to the cc ( Hi Rengar it's me!!!). Even with the complete build will not, not even, the same burst damage as the rest of assassins, after all you are a character of skirmishes. Welcome to the militia !!!
Focus on: delusion, movility, invisibility and backstab.
1. Passive: trick creator. Improves the rest of your abilities if they are used in invible or camouflage.
And now two options: First one: Also gives him his current passive Second one: apply a defense (physical and magic) debuff if you use from behind to a champion.
Q: reduces the cd to the half. W: box appear invisible directly (right now it take 2 seconds to go invisible) but it takes half second to activate. E: gives attack speed and a powerful very short slow. R: clone goes invisible (or camouflage, depends of the state of the real one) until they attack or time gone.
Numbers:
- Defenses debuff: 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% (levels 1,6,12 and 18).
- Debuff duration: 3 seconds.
- Internal cd to the same target: 5 seconds, you can reduce with cdr (like the current passive).
Comments: Passive split in two, a good improve for the rest of their abilities if you use in invisible or camouflage state and a good first hit to start the fight (like right now) or an important debuff to their victims. I prefer the second choice, but I'm not confident about that.
2. Q: decieve Shaco blinks and appear in other location in camouflage state. If the first hit that he does (in camouflage state or 3 seconds after be visible again) is from behind he applies a bleeding.
Numbers:
- CD: 15, 14.5, 14, 13.5 after go out camouflage.
- Camouflaje duration: 1.5, 2.25, 2.5, 3, 3.75, 4.5
- Blink range: 375, 400 (current situation), 425, 450, 475.
- Bleeding duration: 1,1.25,1.5,1.75,2 seconds.
- Bleeding ratio: 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9 total ad OR 1 ap (higher value, like ezreal ult, I don't know if he continues with this :P)
- Damage type: physical
Comments: This ability doesn't do instand damage so it gives time to your opponents to reply, also it only apply the bleeding if you hit from behind, so your positions is important now.
I decided to improve the blink range because 400 right now are low, it would be like before the 3 years old nerf :P
Making your damage scales with ap or ad, according to the highest value, prevent the super high damages. As much would be between 500 and 700 of damage (that for the late is not the great thing).
Finally, and this is a tonic, all skills progress with the level so that early is not abusive and when it reaches its maximum potential the rest have tools to counter it.
3. W: surprise box Shaco puts a surprise box over the field. After two seconds box goes to invisibility. During this time the box is affected by abilities and auto attacks. When they become invisible they are inmune to both unless they gets reveal by a pink ward or a red trinket.
When an enemy, or neutral monster enters its range of action, the box jumps applying fear to the adjacent enemies and attacking the rival.
In addition, if during the time it takes to stealth the box (2 seconds) is pressed again the skill button, the box will explode, inflicting damage and applying half the fear. You can use this second activation in invisible too, but it reveals you.
The box cannot be placed in the same location (like now).

Box usual activation: - Fear duration: 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5 - Fear range: 300, 325, 350, 375, 400. - Attack range: 250, 275, 300, 325, 350. - Attack speed: 70% of shaco`s attack speed. - Box base damage: 0. - Box rate damage: 0,25 total ad or 0,25 ap (highest value). - Type of damage: magical.

Box exploits (second activation). - Fear duration: 0.25, 0.35, 0.5, 0.65, 0.75 - Fear range: 150, 175, 200, 225, 250. - Attack range: 150, 175, 200, 225, 250. - Box base damage: 0. - Box rate damage: 0,5 total ad or 0,5 ap (highest value). - Type of damage: magical.
Comments: With these two options, leave that the box activate normally or make it exploit, Shaco has a tool to make chaos in the middle of the team fight, we can save the situation with that low cc (is more like an interruption) in a low range (probably only one or two of the enemies would be affected).
- E: ambush. Shaco dash (yes another one, fuck you click point dagger!) to an enemy (only works with enemies or neutral monsters), in the process he becomes invisible (you can see the first part of the animation, but when he gets the enemy is invisible). Shaco's user can choose where do want to appear (in front, behind, left or right, it could be like Fizz trident). Shaco can stack his others abilities in the process (like rengar or khazix with their jumps) so when he gets the enemy use his other ability automatically.
Numbers:
- CD: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 seconds after being visible again.
- Invisibility duration: 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5
- Range: 300 unidades en todos los niveles.
- Attack speed (when you use invisible, remember passive): 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%
- Slow (also remember passive): 99% durante 0.1 segundos.
Comments: The main change, I'll be honest with you right here, I don't like the actual E, I HATE that one, Shaco is a skilled champs, you need to think, you need to play with your oponent to get the prize, and you have a fucking point and click ability that do a huge damage (in late) and gives you permaslow... hello???
For me shaco deserves another thing, another skill that brings him glory. With this ability (and a cdr build) you can dance over the teamfight and play with the others kids :P

Exactly the same than right now :P
Additional observations:
- It has no base of damage, everything scaled so to do damage it needs damage.
- It has no way of reducing the damage, it is based on being invisible and on its mobility.
- Your cds at first are very high, in the end you need to have cdr almost always.
- Its damage and effects are based on two things, positioned behind, remain invisible.
- By dividing your damage between ap or ad we force choose a build or another and avoid abuses the same time we give options to all possible builds.
