How Galio might evolve and stay Galio

I feel like Galio is more sorrowful than sentinel and the evolution of this champ should switch the focus more to the later. His character in the lore has found a new reason to be, and I feel like he should go about it in a much more visceral way while using his time as a guardian as a compass for his abilities. I feel like his shape as a Gargoyle should affect his character more than just "being a magical construct" so I modeled him in my head accordingly. Passive- I feel his passive is fine and along with his ult play to him as an individual. Q. Gargoyles have claws so i feel like instead of his ability to fire a bolt(blast?) of magic (from his eyes?) he should have an Ap scaling auto-attack reset that (like trundles Q) "steals" Ap. This plays well with the idea that he is covered In magic absorbing runes and gives him a melee trade for lanes. W. This skill will change the way Galio interacts with his Team mates. He is here to keep them safe and so the shield is nice but I propose that it's not just a "stay safe" mechanic but a trade off of stats and a "stay here" mechanic. I believe that the shield should give magic resist and armor based on his current Ap as well as steal 50% move speed from the one shielded. This gives him a way to get to the enemy team while protecting the one shielded, also should the one shielded take damage his move speed is increased further while moving towards them. E.I think the skill was a good idea when the champ came out but the ability to do long range aoe damage doesn't fit with the champions theme in my opinion. I feel like he should rip mages apart not throw spells back at them. His new skill should passively give him bonus magic damage on hit and as an active an area becomes his territory when allies take damage in this territory he is enraged and gains attack speed. R. Remains the same. This is who Galio is, a self sacrificing creature made to destroy those who would harm his charges. Let the mages sweat and assasins tremble at his passing. For he is ever watchful.
