There should be the option for players to change there summoner icon from the champ select screen..
It would also be nice if other players could see there team mate's icons before hand. ... and on that note, there team mate's champion skin! This would help teams sync up!
I like the idea of team skin syncing ^^ I usually only get it done in the botlane (I'm a support main), mostly cus my other friends never cooperate XD I did get them to do a full yordle team once though...and we won pretty hard :D
But anyway, donno if an option to change summoner icon in champ select is really necessary...since thats not really visible in game, but the skin visibility is pretty cool :D
You could use this Trick, while in queue, open up the Summoner Icon selection interface. (i.e. click on your icon). now do not select an icon or hit ok. Once you get moved into champ select the icon screen will remain. This is really only effective if you didn't choose one and you ran out of time before system moved you to champ select because this forces you to choose one before you can ban a champion since it covers over half the screen at least..
