Champion Concept: Taku the Little Witch Doctor
Taku the Little Witch Doctor
_Hey community. I remember hearing a couple years back about a potential voodoo champion that I've yet to see, so I thought I'd try my hand at it. I'm not a great artist so feel free to make your own image if you like the concept but not my version. Basic backstory is he's one of the oldest yordles of the Bandle City Region, he isolated himself in the swamps and harnesses primal magic from the marshes into various totems. As cute lil yordles need companionship, or tend to go crazy, Taku made Po, his trusty voodoo doll who is always by his side. His character would be quirky, probably referring to himself in the third person and constantly blabbing with his not-so-chatty buddy Po. _
Species: Yordle Home: Swamps of Bandle City Gender: Male Physique: Average height for a yordle, aging with grey hair, chubby
Abilities:
Passive: Voodoo Po- Taku carries his trusty sidekick, Po, wherever he goes. Nearby enemy champions that damage either Taku or his totems take small damage.
**Q: Scary Totem: **Taku launches a dark flame totem forward in a single line skill shot. The totem applies magic damage to the first unit and a very brief fear if it strikes a champion. If scary totem hits another of his totems it has special interactions and cool down is halved.
**W: Sturdy Totem: **Taku places a nearby stationary totem. This totem has limited health and is targetable, and blocks basic attacks and linear abilities. If Scary Totem collides with sturdy totem, all allied champions within the blast radius are briefly shielded. Taku can stack 3 charges of sturdy totem.
**E: Greedy Totem: **Taku places a long range totem that has limited health and is targetable. Greedy totem drains hp from all enemy units within a moderate radius. This is 75% effective against minions. If Scary Totem collides with greedy totem, greedy totem explodes dealing magic damage and slows enemy units. Taku can stack 2 charges of sturdy totem.
R: Po's the Boss: Taku takes control of an enemy champion for a few seconds. While Taku controls an enemy champion he cannot move or activate other abilities (he is considered channeling and can be disrupted). Taku gains vision of the controlled champion, can cause them to move, use basic attacks, and activate q, w, e abilities (not including ult) against allied minions, champions and structures. The controlled enemy champion takes additional damage from totem interactions and Taku's passive.
Basic Play Mechanics: Po would be designed for easy ally ganks, sustaining harass, and anti-dives. He's not very bursty and will have to rely on smart itemization to balance damage and defenses. Engaging his passive can be risky without a little health and coordinating his scary totem interactions can make or break a fight. It is best to set the stage by getting a variety of totems placed on the field, usually with one or two between himself and enemy champs, so that he can pop his ult from behind the safety of his team.
