Pantheon Tweak Ideas

I have always had a lot of thoughts about how certain champs have unhealthy and certain friends and I often like to sit down and talk about why their kits are unhealthy or just plan don't work together. I understand that this is a huge part of what riot works to help with champions. So I would like to post some of the thoughts on some of the champs we feel have either unhealthy kits or kits that don't sync well together. Please comment on what you feel works about the ideas or doesn't work about the ideas I list below. Please be constructive though. For example when think "No that change would be OP" think, why? If you explain why, it can lead to healthy constructive ideas and that can potential lead to great ideas.

Pantheon The first champ is a champ we have discussed a lot between us, Pantheon. Now one of my friends has played Pantheon since season 1, building BF swords and boots all day with his old E. We feel Pantheon hits an area where either hes really good or really bad, this is generally determined by the amount of damage he does at the time. Now when you think about a champ the first thing you want to think is "What is the idea of this champion and how do all of his skills work towards that goal". So for Pantheon I feel its to be an all in champ. You need to go hard or go home. His Q does more based off them being low from you constantly fighting, or bursting them down. His W is a gap closer, CC and positions him in a way to perfectly E. His E is this all in ability it stops your mobility in return for high burst. Then his Ult is the perfect ability to jump right into the fight. His passive of course allows him to go hard while stopping a bit of damage and not having to give up damage items for bulk too early. Now that we have the idea of his concept the next champ would be "what makes him this champ fun to play/difficult to play against". Now what makes him fun is his concept in my opinion. He is all in very fun be able to build damage while being a bit bulky from your passive. Pantheon plays have this feeling of going HAM. Now we look at the other side of this question. What makes Pantheon unfun to play against. Well in lane because of the new potion he can spam his low CD Q. If your in range of death not only does have have a point and click targeted stun and gap closer but often time flash combined with leads crazy zoning. That being said his E and Ult have meaningful strengths and weaknesses. So the ideas would be around his Q and his W. So what could be changed about this abilities that keep his kit (and idea of a champion) in tact.

We came up with two solid ideas. One would be a simple change to his Q, less base damage/ratio and higher damage based of lower hp. This is a simple tweak and means he would have to use more mana and more time to get you in burst range, but his burst would be slightly higher when you're at lower heath. This would make him even more of a brawler lane and he might play more like old Tryndamere where you just want to try and fight all the time in lane because if you're both low Pantheon should have the advantage. Now for the more interesting Concept we had was for his W. His W lacks skill at this point in time. Not only does it position for your E its a point and click gap closer with CC. There is no player skill with two point and click abilities. So we thought, what if you change his W to a small leap (think Mega Gnar) that is only active when moving towards an enemy. The towards an enemy is to keep him from having an escape which contradicts his champion ideals. This would not only mix of his kit in a way and take away that he was two point and click single target abilities, but allow counter play for his kit and Pantheon players would have to position for their E. Now since it is a skill shot leap it would now be AOE so the damage on it might need some changes, but this is more about the concepts. I would love to hear thoughts and ideas on my thoughts and ideas and I would love to make more if this creates fun and healthy discussions on champions.
