can you animate these short stories of lore as long clips
it would make the lore feel more a part of the game if we could see the stories played out

It definetly sounds nice, but it's not economical to animate every piece of lore. Some don't necessarily make for good ADs and may be confusing for unrelated people.
If we are talking a selected few then it could work though
Yes! yes they should! I love reading it but seeing it come to live visually is even better!
