A lot of ppl play LoL but not many ppl no the lore. I feel tht if there was some show or movies about some of the lore then more ppl would become interested and more ppl wld try LoL and it wld attract more long term players.
I don't believe Riot has anything planned -- at least as far as they've announced. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes though!
Any particular area or character you'd like to see highlighted if such a thing existed? Runeterra is a big world with a lot of plots and characters, after all!
kind of pointless as Runeterra im the current lore has nothing to do with the past lore. In a few years the lore will be new yet again and the movie/series will become fake news.
