Ranked rewards

What if, at the end of every year, people who got into gold or higher were given a “victorious shard” same idea as a gemstone of sorts. And this allowed them to craft one victorious skin of their choosing. So, Riot would still add a new skin every season, so the people who get gold all the time would still get the new one, but people like me who finally got into gold this season could choose one they like from previous seasons instead of being forced to get the new one for this season? I understand them as a symbol of which season you got gold in, but I would say it would feel like an even more special reward if we got to choose which one we get, along the same line as choosing which hextech skin you craft with 10 gemstones.
