Champion Concept - Ghord the Turret Cleaver
Here is my concept for a AP based melee champion who would likely feature in the roles of a top laner or a support champion. Please tell me your thoughts on his lore, abilities, balance and so forth and whether you'd like any more content (e.g. personality based quote, dance) on this champion! This got removed last time, presumedly because I put it on the wrong board so hopefully I have it riot this time XD
Ghord, the Turret Cleaver
Lore Even from a young age, Ghord intrigued (and very much worried) those close to him with the unusually powerful magical energy which emanated from him and, even more so, his love of destroying things. This magical energy and intense training, combined with the power of his warhammer, a priceless family heirloom passed down through generation after generation of his kin to him, allowed him to render entire fortresses to rubble single-handedly, becoming a strong asset for Noxus. However, such weak structures soon began to bore him and, when he heard tell of the turrets in the League being the most sturdy and dangerous structures known to man, he joined the League to seek the challenge of destroying them. And boy does he enjoy it. (NOTE: Ghord is a heavily built man with light armour and a bright bandana around his forehead)
Abilities
Passive - Turret Love All abilities can be used on turrets and Ghord will become invincible for 1/3/5 seconds and gain extra gold when a turret is destroyed.
Q - Melt Metal (5) Skill shot with damage scaling with AP and damage and snare time scaling with level. Ghord swings his hammer in an arc in front of him as it glows red for a short duration and also sending out a burst of fire and molten metal from its tip in a cone-shaped area of effect. Any enemies close enough to be hit by the hammer will be damaged but any enemies hit by the molten metal will receive the same damage and also be snared.
W - Persevere (5) Ghord hardens his skin with magical shielding as his hammer glows blue until the effect wears off or another ability is cast. Hence, Ghord will resist 10/15/20/25/30% damage from all sources (even turrets), scaling slightly with AP, for a short time.
E - Crush Stone (5) Single target melee attack with damage scaling with AP and ability level. Ghord lifts his purple glowing hammer above his head and smashes it down upon a target, dealing heavy damage and, if the target is non-structural, stunning them for a short time. If the target is a turret, it will stop attacking for the same period. The smash will also send out a circular shockwave which deals minor damage to nearby enemies.
R - Destroy Everything (3) With a booming laugh, Ghord smashes his now green glowing hammer into the ground, causing it to shatter into 3/4/5 green glowing spiky chunks of stone, which he then sends towards his enemies by reactivating his ultimate up to 3/4/5 times as fast straight line skillshots which damage the first enemy champion or structure hit. The final shard he fires will be bigger, dealing more damage and passing through champions up to maximum range. Each shard hit will give the opponent a debuff 'Destroyed' which stuns the target for a period based on the percentage of hit shards which hit that champion, the lower the percentage the longer the stun (i.e. If Ghord misses one shard, hits the turret with one, Anivia with one and hits Amumu with the other two, Amumu is stunned based on 50% but, if he Ghord missed 3 and hit Amumu twice, this would be 100% and Amumu would not be stunned). For the duration of his ultimate, Ghord is locked in place and can not use other abilities but enemies close to him get damage proportional to the number of shards he has not fired. Damage would scale with AP and damage,stun time and number of shards with level.
I'd love to hear what you think about this champion, how you think he could be improved and if any of his abilities are over- or under- powered. :P
