[champion concept] Kagami, The swords soul
This is my first Champion concept, and while it still needs work and some parts to be filled in. I'm putting it out there now, so I can start getting feedback or advice on how to better this concept. Also due to my inability to actually draw anything, I won't be doing art work... ok maybe a few terrible sketches or something, one day.
Lore Some secrets were never supposed to be disturbed, as was the case with the twin cursed blades Ruin and Shimmer. Sealed away from the world in a vault bound by ancient magics since times immemorial, they waited until the day they would be released from their prison. That day came in the form of the Noxian invasion of Ionia when the battles disturbed the vault, and the Zaun Mercinaries arcane technology corrupted the bindings keeping all within dormant. Though it would take years for the corrupted bindings to give way entirely. Those years past, and a small village in Ionia began having perculiar sightings of two distinct wraith like beings. Those having sighted these beings reported the same thing every time. They were two young women practically reflections of one another except one was darker than a moonless night, and the other shone like the moon itself, both held a single sword.
It wasn't long before someone was sent to investigate the rumors of these wraiths appearing within the village. A single Preistess was sent to investigate the rumors and attempts to exorcise these spirits if the rumors turned out to be true. It was during her investigations that the preistess stumbled upon the ancient vault, normally unreachable due to various wards and enchantments until they became corrupted and decayed. The preistess ignorant of the mortal danger that dwelled within opened the vault, expecting an ancient catacomb and the source of the twin wraiths. She was only half right. The moment the priestess entered the ancient structure, the lost the protection of the final waning ward upon the vault. The one thing stopping the spirits of the swords from possessing a living host outside the confines of the vault. The preistess was instantly taken by the spirits, the three minds assimilating into a single will. Burning with two overpowering desires; to protect and to destroy, each of the desires tempering the other. In the preistess's stead a different woman emerged from the vault, bearing two swords, one over each shoulder, one blacker than a moonless night, and the other shone silver like the moon itself, and the preistess was never seen again.
In the following decades the woman wandered Runeterra, never lingering long in any single place. Over the years she slowly changed, her mind and soul settling and becoming a single will instead of a chaotic mash up of 3 seperate souls. She found an entirely new name for the person that was now her, Kagami. Yet time nor expeirence did little to quence the burning, conflicting desires that lingered; protect, destory. When put under pressure by an issue be it bandits or simply someone inquireing a little too much into her past, it was a toss of a coin as to whether Kagami would face it with valor and courage, or simply raise it to the ground in a flash of wanton destruction and murder. Over years Kagami saved many lives on a whim, but had ended just as many. Her consience, weighed down by the many innocents she had killed, but at the same time she revelled in it. It digused her somewhere deep down, but she knew she couldn't stop herself, and so it went until Kagami stumbled upon a way to sate both her desires at once, whilst being able to justify her actions to her consience. To kill in the defence of others was the greatest pleasure life could offer to Kagami. It didn't take long for Kagami to start seeking out conflict. To fighting raiders or pirates attacking villages or towns. To taking to the field during large scale conflicts and battles, fighting for various nations and powers across Runeterra. She became known as a powerful mercenary, who was willing to fight for whom ever asked.
When the institute of war was founded, Kagami knew it was her best option. If her desires to protect and destroy could be sated anywhere, it would be there.
Appearance and demeanor
Kagami's appearance is one of striking contrast, with luminescent white skin and raven black hair. Even Kagami's eyes contrast one another the right being dark and bottomless, and the left being silver and almost reflective. Generally Kagami keeps her black hair short in al almost boyish fashion in order to keep it out of her face. Her attire consists of a pitch black sleeveless shirt as well as simmilarly black skirt falling to just below her knees. She wears silver armored gauntlets that extend to cover her forearms and elbows as well as silver sollerets with compliment plating covering her legs and knees. sheathed on her back are two straight swords, one black the other silver, the pommels and handles of which extend over her left shoulder. Most of the time Kagami only draws one sword at a time holding it in her left hand, but during the times she draws both Kagami is forced to reach her right hand slightly awkwardly across her body to draw the second sword from its sheath.
Kagami's demenour is often considered odd by her colleagues at the institute, seeming pensive and solitary outside of battle she can often be over heard whispering to her self quietly. But when fighting Kagami becomes somewhat boisterous as she relishes the fight, and can be down right friendly assuming your fighting on her side.

Abilities
**Passive ** Twin swords- Weilding Ruin gives increased AD and attack speed. Weilding Shimmer boosts defencive stats.
Q Soul Shift- Kagami swtiches between Ruin and Shimmer (maybe like a 15 second cooldown so her mechanic isn't super OP)
W Desolate/ Stalwart
Desolate is the ability available when Ruin is weilded. Kagami plunges Ruin into the ground spreading its corrupting energies outward in a concussive wave around her, dealing physical damage and knocking back enemies in a circle. When Duality is active Desolate also stuns enemies.
Stalwart is the ability available when Shimmer is weilded. Kagami harmonises with Shimmer's protective energies gaining a shield for a few seconds to block incoming damage. When duality is active Kagami gains the remaining shield as health.
E Harbinger/ Champion
Urged on by Ruins hunger for conflict Kagami Dashes forward toward enemy champions or minions dealing physical damage and slowing the enemy. When Duality is active if Harbinger kills the chosen enemy its cooldown is reset and half its mana cost refunded.
Kagami Dashes to an ally champions side temporarliy taking the damage her ally would have taken as her own. When Daulity is active the damage Kagami takes on behalf of her ally is reduced.
R Duality- Draws both Ruin and Shimmer at once, for a time both of the passive bonuses of Ruin and shimmer are gained, and other abilities are empowered gaining additional effects.
Playing as Kagami Kagami conceptually is a top laner with a very flexable kit, the ability to change between her swords Ruin and Shimmer allow her to change her playstyle significantly, Ruin making her more of an offencive AD bruiser, Whilst Shimmer allows her to take the role of a tanky defence orientated champion. Of course her overall playstyle would include managing and switching between these two forms in order to optimally adapt to the situation at hand. For example use Ruin to deal out damage and CC in a team fight while being ignored, then switching to Shimmer when the enemy team begins to focus her.
Playing against Kagami Kagami should be a weaker champion before level 6 when she gains her ultimate Duality which makes her skills more potent, giving her an advantage over her laner whilst it is active. Forcing Kagami to use Soul Shift from Ruin to Shimmer to defend herself will limit the amount of damage she can do as well as prevent her from using Desolate to disrupt your team.
