Imo it started with jungle changes making it braindead to clear camps + adding buff timers in the first place. Edit: the " you shouldnt worry about fighting the game, focus on the outplays instead" mentality that riot has is like if pokemon gave u max rare candies in ur bag because " dont worry about leveling your pokemon, instead learn its movesets." I mean for cheap trainers sure but for the real pokemasters, we level, breed, and train our pokemon through hardwork and effort.
