Hate being thrown at Kalista from other ADC's.

I respect and use regularly Lucian, Vayne, Ezreal, Kog, and Troll around with Draven every once in a while and then I decided to buy the new character, Kalista because she had a 'Draveny' type feel in a sense of mechanics to achieve maximum sustained damage (Juggling three axes orbwalking backwards for example, etc etc). I've been playing her on my smurf for a couple hours now and have received nothing but negative remarks about her from players that lost their lane against me and the clueless support that didn't know I was using her as a projectile for the first two games helping me.

Listen, if you still live back in 2009 and think Ashe is the be all and end all to ADC's like most of these individuals seem to do for some reason do then you need to open your eyes because the arguments I've gotten about her so called 'utility' aka freezing arrow being the last word in team fights and layer upon layer of other 'stuff' like her ultimate which couldn't get a speeding ticket in a school-zone. Ashe is -in fact- mediocre at best, and that's if you're a new player, anyways I just tuned them out... So I just ignored these people and decided to come on the forums to get a consensus. How many of you like the new ADC, I love her, I like her progression throughout the development of the game, she forces another person to actually work with you so that brings another unique aspect to her as well and I just love her.

Great job in the character design Riot and anyone telling you that this doesn't belong is incapable of multitasking.

I know there are some other fans out there of her because I've played against them, but only a very few times. I think people are just intimidated by the characters main 'mechanic' of launching the character in the direction the mouse is pointing after the spear or whatever she uses is thrown. If you cannot multitask, this character, Draven, and any others with wonky mechanics are not for you, and nor are they inferior to any others in a casual sense such as Kog'Maw, or Lucian, or Vayne. It actually rewards the player for the correct input and I llke that, ballsy move by Riot, but people with severe ADHD like me will enjoy the hell out of this character.

Alright, just had to vent that. Everyone have a lovely day.

lol idk what ashe had to do with this rant... cept maybe that ashe is one of the few adcs that has a good chance against kalista and may well be picked every other game because of that.

I have two primary issues with Kalista:

  1. Her w makes ganking damn near impossible (mostly because she can get more than one out at a time; ganking her is just so time inefficient). Also, 20% max health wut. (Really, her w as a whole)
  2. The person she binds has no choice in the matter. You are enslaved to another person on your team without consent.

Her passive is counterable, so I can deal with that. Her Q's missile speed could be lowered a smidge but that's about it. I would complain about her E, but realistically at 2.5 AS and 350 AD, if you have perfect timing, you're only doing about 1200 damage before armor, and that's with 10 AA's and a Q, so you're probably hosed by that point anyway. I don't like her ult, but I can't think of a way to fix it; it has nothing to do with Kalista and more to do with either you and your oathsworn to be in perfect unison or the very real possibility of bad plays, no matter how good you are.

The only things I would really change about Kali: Lower her Q's missile speed SLIGHTLY (much like the Corki phosphorus bomb nerf). Change her W's passive to 8/10/12/14/16% (or keep same stats but current health), and lower the timeframe to 1.25 seconds from 1.5 seconds. Turn the W active so that only one Sentinel can be active at a time. OR (and this would be a huge nerf) make it where the passive doesn't work while the active is out; I like this personally as it forces a choice (though definitely ups her skillcap and is a big hit). Finally, require consent for the soulbind to work.

I don't necessarily think she's OP, but I do think she could use some fine tuning.

I'd try Xerath, always my goto whenever I think a character is infallable, and he always shuts them down. Hard.
