Possible Galio Change

I really enjoy playing galio as he is right now. his Q spell has a heavy slow with a lot of nuking damage which results in a good disengage. Also his Shield adds some funny playstyle in lategame where u can heal while tanking a tower or use morgana w or other DoT spells as your heals. his E adds up to his Q and is like anivias Wall, a good Galio player can use it to successfully engage or disengage with the whole team. His ultimate is the problematic part of his Kit in my opinion. It does serious good damage, and an aoe suppress is really strong. but his problem is to land it. a simple dash often is enough to get away before the ult is activated. So here is my personal Idea on How a Galio Change could make his whole kit even more enjoyable and more decent to use.

Since his passive is really strong and the ult is fairly strong as well i would let them untouched. So the best way to change him without destroying him would be to change his E.

My Proposal would be to let the effect of the E stay completely the same. You create a Whirlwind and there is a speed up field after. BUT what if Galio has the option to ride on the tornado? He would have a movement tool now, it would be usefull to escape over walls, He could engage with it and instantly use a really effective ult which hits much more people. EDIT:( the range might should be changed since his E does certainly has a pretty huge one if it were made into a dash kind of ability)

This change would leave his whole kit intact without changing the galio everyone loves and hate, but his kit would have so much more meaning with it.

Thanks for reading guys ^^.

While as a gallio idea i love the idea...i think that just adding that might be a tad over powered. Especially since at the moment the only thing gallio doesn't have is that ability to move through terrain (etc). Giving him this flat buff would throw him from a good balanced mage to the god killer of anti mages king. In my opinion of u where to add this to his e, u would need to reduce the total range of both his q and e to balance it, making him a much more engage type mage that needs to get in closer to obliterate. This is just my opinion an im probably gonna get down voted the cries

I totally understand what you mean tho, i didn't really thought about the range. It was just to give him a more secured engage tool, since that is the thing he lacks to make him a really good champ (imo ofc). I'll add it.

It's definitely an interesting idea, but it could be overpowered. I saw in another thread once that even getting rid of the channel time on his E would make him feel much better (since it doesn't make sense that his movespeed ability has a delay that stops his movement temporarily).

Allowing him to instantly fire his whirlwind on the move and speed up that way would give him at least some ability to get in the middle of people to ult, or would give him a meaningful means of escape, without crossing terrain or anything.

That would help him a lot yes, but i think it wouldn't be enough to make him a really good pick imo. Im aware that balancing a movement ability on a champ like galio is hard as hell, but i still think that only taking his cast animation away wouldnt make him into a viable midlaner you would pick in most situations. thats why i thought that making him to be able to engage over distance would make him a top notch mage, in the position equal to ekko or gragas. EDIT: If we compare ekko to galio for example, both have a decent range on q, both q's do decent damage which can really nuke an enemy and both slows. So the q wouldnt be to strong even if the dash got implemented, then ekkos stun field + shield gives him even more cc than galio. i dont think that galio would be too op, i mean i can't test it(obviously:Q) but i would think it could be just what he needs^^

I don't know why, but for some reason, phrasing it as giving him the ability to engage over a distance makes it sound more appealing. I think what was making me think twice was that it also gives him the ability to disengage easily, whereas getting caught out should be something that punishes him instead.
