Hoffel Bio

an oc of mine that i have been bouncing around in my head for a while. might as well post him and see what you people think!

ABILITIES:

Autos: mid-long range, chain on his arm turns from tattoo into a real chain.

Passive: (Turn Up the Heat) Every 5 auto attacks on any enemy or spells used on enemy champs he gets a special addition to his next ability.

Q: (Burning Strike) Hoffel's next auto attack is empowered and deals extra magic damage. Passive makes it root.

W: (Light It Up) Hoffel tosses a lighter into an area, causing AOE damage. Passive adds on burn damage.

E: (Chain Grab) Hoffel grabs onto a nearby enemy (champion or minion) and pulls himself towards them, slowing them as well. Passive stuns.

R: (Deep Breath) Hoffel breaths out a large cone of fire in front of him (larger than Annie W). Passive slows.

BASIC LORE: Hailing from an upper-class family in Piltover, Orion Durem was set to be the next head of the family, until his family stumbled upon a deep secret about the unending success of Piltover and its elite. For this 'transgression' the whole family was killed save Orion, who fled into Zaun, and joined a gang, taking on the name 'Hoffel'. Knowing the truth of Piltover's corruption, he swears to tear it down, brick by hextech brick and rebuild it into something better.

Allies: Ekko Rivals: Jayce, Caitlyn, Vi Enemies: Camille

BASIC PERSONALITY: a huge flirter, who doesnt care for gender, only whether or not you're blonde, but even then its a tossup. hoffel is relatively chill and enjoys a good fight, but doesn't lose his calm in a bad situation. has a british accent, but not oxford like caitlyn.

POSSIBLE SKINS: Popstar, Debonair

Character concept: General appearance of the champion is not my cup of tea, has too much hipster vibe in my opinion. But well, I guess there are some people who want an actual hipster champion.

The lore comes a bit short, especially a crucial aspect of it: How did he get that chain tattoo? Magic is used in piltover in form of hextech, which are crystal driven devices (Brackern souls included). That doesn't apply to that tattoo, if such a champ gets released, I definitely want to know the origin.

The idea of a tattoo becoming real matter is great in my opinion.... but as long as you don't have a really great explanation for this tattoo, I would prefer to put it on another champ (maybe someone from Illaois tribe?). Your champion concept could still work with for example electric cables instead of chains.

Kit: I don't quite get what your champ is meant to accomplish. Is he some kind of AP bruiser? Maybe a diver with AP scalings? He scales with AP, that's for sure. He isn't an assassin, since he clearly lacks any form of escape. On top, his kit is pulling him towards the enemy, so he needs tankiness to survive.

If he is meant as a diver, I would give him more defense in his kit. Usually divers have some defensive tool to survive long enough for their team to follow up. Maybe something like a shield for example. Best place to put that would be W in my opinion. It is simple AoE magic damage, I guess he can work without that, since he already has that damage on his ult.

Besides the lack of defense, the kit looks solid. He has engage with his E, auto attack reset for Lich Bane procc on his Q for good damage and some CC on his ult and E as well. So I think diver is definitely the direction you should aim for.
