Loz'Tem, the Void's Darkness

Within the Void is a source of destruction so great, even all of the monstrous creatures in the void fear it. Said to be the most ancient of all beings in this dark dimension, Loz'Tem controls the void with little opposition.

"As a bright light may blind a man, so may unending darkness."

Primary Role: Fighter Secondary Role: Assassin

Passive - Blend - Loz'Tem's shadowy appearance allows him to hide from the sight of enemies. Running in a straight line away from an enemy champion allows him to disappear after five seconds, until he changes his direction or stops.

Q - Dull - Loz'Tem sends out a ball of dark energy that passes through targets and emits a small range AOE mark which applies to any enemy hit and any enemy around them. The mark allows Loz'Tem's auto attacks to cut through his enemy, causing them to bleed for a short duration afterwards. The mark lasts for three seconds, but is refreshed by auto attacks.

W - Faint - Loz'Tem can empower his next auto attack to leave behind an image him of where he was standing, while appearing behind his enemy to hit three times in rapid succession. If the target is effected by Dull's mark, the bleed is applied for each hit.

E - Fade - Loz'Tem fades into the darkness, dashing backward quickly. For two seconds, he has the ability to dash at a target with a range around where he was standing originally, which will cut through them, leaving Loz'Tem standing behind them.

R - Pull of the Void - Loz'Tem opens a portal to the Void behind each enemy champion. Whatever direction the champion is moving, they will turn and move toward the portal, and upon arrival, become stunned for 1/1.25/1.5 seconds. Of the champion is standing still, they will take hold, not being moved, yet taking slight magic damage and being bound for 1/1.25/1.5 seconds.

Appearance - Loz'Tem is a shadowy figure with a humanoid structure. He should have four arms and bright white eyes. His bottom half will fade into one lump of darkness, rolling along the ground for his walking animation.

Other Notes:

  • He kind of seems like Nocturne a bit but with a creative mind, you could imagine how much different he is.
  • His joke should be something like making his body change shape because he's just darkness. he'll say something like, "See that?" afterwards because he is supposed to be hard to see.
  • His taunt should have him hold out all his hands and have dark spirals fly upward from them.
  • His laugh can be just an echo-y laugh.
  • His dance will be disco because the song "Shadow Dancing" comes to mind.
  • a quote, "Why are you squinting?"
  • his friends are void creatures
  • he will be a very strong 1v1 champion, good at picks

Hope someone enjoys this! Let me know what you think guys! And thanks for reading!

The concept just feels dull to me, it basically is the "evil spooky powerful darkness" which is a theme Nocturne already has covered.

Personally I don't believe the Void should be given a physical leader as that would just take away from the mystery that surrounds the place. The void is an alien dimension that doesn't follow the normal rules of our dimension. To give it a singular leader or system of government would make it relatable and familiar to us. The tyranids and lovecrafts dark gods, which the void seems to be based on, don't follow human traditions because they arn't human. If aliens from another dimension follow human customs, then they feel more like warped humans than they do actual aliens.

Let the Void stay an alien dimension by keeping the force that drives it mysterious instead of making it understandable to us humans by giving it a physical and visible leader.

A lot of people like making "strong 1v1 champion, good at picks" ideas, and for good reason. The power fantasy of an assassin is also the hardest to balance, however, so I'll try to help you. First of all, the passive implies running away from another champion for a full 5 seconds before invisibility kicks in. This is an unrealistic scenario, as no one will chase this guy for 5 seconds anyway, especially not in a straight line. You also can't escape through the jungle with this passive because it requires running in a straight line (and pathing is gonna screw you). Remake this, considering what situation the passive is designed for and how effective it is. The Q seems to lack purpose. It applies to many enemies at once but Loz'Tem is more suited for 1v1s. It also applies a bleed over time that apparently can be refreshed an infinite amount of times, which means that while most assassins lose effectiveness after their first 3 seconds of burst, Loz'Tem benefits from squatting and trading autos. Changing the Q proc to fit burst assassination (it's his initiation tool, so maybe dealing heavy base + % max health damage on first hit?) will benefit his role immensely while removing unnecessary strengths. Remember, we want to distance him from Nocturne, not increase the similarity between the two by making him a sustained damage champ. The W is boring, but is okay enough for a basic skill and fits a bursty damage combo. Keep the synergy with Q. The E is his most interesting ability. Good counterplay, high outplay/juke potential, this thing has it all. One suggestion, allowing another synergy with your Q proc such as stunning marked opponents when he dashes to them (or blinks, which might be a better choice) could shoot his damage even higher, increase utility of Q and perfect the three-skill-one-hit combo for maximum satisfaction. Best skill in the entire kit. Keep it. The ult OH LORD where do I start with this. To start off, what is the range on this skill. Why does an assassin have heavy multi-target cc? This needs a complete rework. How about:

R - Pull of the Void - After a 2 second channel (interruptible by all damage) Loz'Tem opens a portal to the Void beneath himself and descends into it. For the next 3 seconds he is untargetable, gains movement speed and slows all units nearby. He can reactivate this skill to reappear from the Void, stunning and damaging all enemies in a small radius around him.

Just an idea which you don't have to consider. What you should consider is making an ult that benefits his get-close-and-kill-thing mindset. Keep trying your best and I hope to see your concept improve :) Reviewer, away!summoner 4
