AD Supports?

Throughout League of Legends we have been Blessed with seeing many Support Characters. Their looks and abilities made them all unique and we have all found that on Champ that has stuck with us (mine is Bard). But Being a Support main i have noticed something with the Support Class. None of them are AD based. the only one that is is Ashe but i have rarely seen supp Ashe. I wonder why all Supports have AP scaling Abilities? and i really want to see this happen more I Don't want the Support Class being Strictly AP based. and I think the community would love to see an AD Support and i hope one comes out soon.

P.S. if you go the the champion store and select Supports with it showing all champions that gave support in there class you'll find GangPlank!!!!! I wonder if Riot knows this or they have looked it over?

AD Supports have utility AD Supports build normal AD items AD Supports now become viable top, jungle, adc laners AD "Supports" now become really hard to balance without hitting one lane really hard and people getting really pissed off.

Trundle has been the only AD support that has worked in higher elos (according to c9, Foxdrop, Pants) due to his ability to slow, cut through tanks like they are butter, and can build super tank while doing insane damage.

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but this exists.

Even then, MasterSomething hits the nail on the head - unless they have really crappy, sparse, or nonexistent AD ratios, they're more or less a marksman with utility, obsoleting regular marksmen in most cases.

Of course, this would be the forum to go try and make your own AD support.

Yes but thresh scales AP and your building his AD. and it doesn't have to be a ranged Support it could be melee with utility. and if they become viable in another lane so be it. they could have some scaling or like Mordekaiser and Corki be AD/AP hybrids. i would just like to see more variety when it comes to supports and not just making them purely AP.

Imagine Rito adds AD supports. So, now they need itemization and Rito adds nice AD item with supportive active.

Now imagine that you play Lux , but your team desperately needs thisactive to counter enemy fed Teemo (because lets say it increases your teams damage dealt to yordles) and you need to sacrifice scaling of your shield for this active. Ouch.

Things are easier to balance if all supports use similar stats.

Pantheon is a pretty decent ad support

JarvanIV Jarvan IV works.... I have seen Pantheon but it didn't seem that great.

If you build AD then your attacks do more damage, you can use your attacks to hurt opponents and wave clear.

Typically supports are defined by a combination of high ultility but low wave clear making them poor choices in solo lanes, if you give them AD then they are much better at wave clearing by virture of just being able to attack the waves to death without being pushed under a turret.

I think Nami is the perfect support, just hasn't has balance problems like some of the others (Lulu), because you put her in a solo lane and she gets killed by minions, she just can't push them back.

Whille some of the solo lane APs that can also be played support come with wave clear by typically on a single ablity allowing them to choose to pump power into other skills in the support role.

Since your auto attack is inherent you can't have a AD champion that can choose to play support in that way, without being a problem in a solo lane.
