Behaviour modification

Hello Rito and community. Fan and player since season 3 here.

I would like to suggest a troll marker. where you can select summoners you have had a bad experience with.

This would effectively not allow them to be paired with you during matchmaking.

This would lengthen the time the algorithm can match games but id rather a few seconds to minutes of wait time versus a sour 30-60 minute experience trapped in a game with them.

This also has the power of behaviour modification because if enough summoners have decided to not play with you, your personal matchmaking could take forever rooting out the bad apples from a ground up way.

Looking to hear others thoughts on any trade off that I have missed but to me it seems worth it.

All the best and keep up the good work,

Mike

This has been suggested before and is too abusable. If you do not wish to play with the player again that badly, it's probably over reportable behavior, it's best you file a report. If you hate that many players that are not reportable, then I suggest you do some reflection and change your perspective.

What stops players from gatekeeping others by flagging them as a troll and queueing at the same time as them? What stops players from flagging every single player they ever interact with?

It's just not a viable system for fairness sake. Sorry fam.

Yeah I could already see this being abused in Challenger/Masters, and effectively making THEIR queues much worse.

The CONCEPT is good, but the way it would actually be used would kill the game.

What would be nice is if having an AFK didn't lower your points, EVEN if they're blacked out as afk you still get penalized. And that means League knows that they contributed to you losing. Something to let the people punished by unfair afk's breath a little. This wouldn't apply if it was a friend/duo or anything who afk'd.
