AD Support Item

I'm a Silver support main, and have been fooling around with way off-meta stuff in normals recently. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I found myself wondering why there isn't a support item that gives AD.

Casters have AP on . Tanks have health on . Utility supports have CDR on . There's no AD support item.

Most AD champions who can be played support can use either or , but I think it would give more options and probably open up more champions to be played support if there was a support item that gave AD.

AD champions tend to scale better with items rather than the base damage/disruption capability from their skills, in turn they are completely item reliant and require substantial amounts of gold. The best consistent way to get this gold is via farming.

If you want to create a support item for ADs then a substantial consistent gold gain is required to help them reliably reach their power spike. If that is the case, then the other Gold per 5 support items would become irrelevant. In addition, most ADs would most likely abuse this item as a way to increase their gold earning in lane, similar to how "Bankplank" was a thing a few seasons a go.

Also, most hard scaling ADs, especially ranged ones, tend to lack a consistent Hard CC to peel for their teammates, especially their ADC. This factor is incredibly significant early game and late game. Early Game, more than likely, you will be a constant target for the enemy jungler. Second, if your enemy laner has an aggressive engager support, trades will not be in your favor. Late game, your team will need to have to peel for two ADs instead of one.
