Boko (Support/Tank) (Boko was once a great sorcerer under the hand of the King. After corruption took over the Shadow Isles Boko's spirit darkened. He fled his body and now inhabits a golem like Vodou Doll. )

Passive: Pain: Every 100 damage taken impales Boko with a needle, on death he deals x AOE damage per pin.

(6 second max CD) Ability 1 (Q): Spirit Thread: straight line skillshot that damages an enemy upon landing and upon removal and temporarily links them to the player, causing any damage taken by the linked enemy, including damage from the ability itself is returned as health to the player and slowing the enemy for the duration.

(10 second max CD) (6 second duration) Ability 2 (W): Sacrifice: targeted ability that shields the caster and binds them to their target, causing half of the damage the target receives to be redirected to the caster, the death of the caster before the duration is complete removes the effect.

(8 second max CD) Ability 3 (E): Possession: Send out a controllable spirit to your target location, if it contacts an enemy it deals x damage and marks the target. Reactivating the ability teleports you to the marked target, briefly knocking them up.

(100 second max CD) (3 second duration) Ultimate (R): Vodou: turns the target champion into a vodou doll, making them immune to damage but unable to move or act. All damage taken by allies of the doll is duplicated and redirected to the doll after the effect ends.

Potential animations (I had been imagining Boko as a silent champion, mostly growling or grumbling)

Death: Boko falls apart, his spirit releasing /Dance:_ Boko dances with his spirit (like in the Possession ability)_ /Laugh: _Boko's arm falls off, he stumbles around attempting to put it back on _ /Taunt: Boko imitates slicing his throat with his finger, his head falls off

(Also, I'd like to be clear in saying that any input is welcome. ^^ I understand sometimes people can be touchy about Champion creation, but I'd love to see Boko in live someday which means a lot of people would need to play a role in fleshing him out and seeing what does or doesn't work. So please, feel free to make suggestions, I'd love to hear what you think! )

Another champion that originates from the Shadow Isles is exactly what I need right now. Not going to lie, this concept for a new champion is quite amazing and would sincerely enjoy playing it myself. Not to mention that playing an infested dark energized knapsack golem around on the Rift would be quite entertaining. I do feel that the abilities are just a bit too overpowered, but that can be tweaked of course. Also a better explanation of the passive would be great because it seems that his passive doesn't have a limit on how many needles it holds. Other then these small tid bits of information, I have no problem with the design of the champion and hope to see him on the Rift. Riot if you're looking at this champion idea, I hope you consider this person's amazing creation and consider developing it over the course of time.

This sounds pretty cool! I'd imagine with the W that this champ would primarily be a support or maybe even jg, I can see some nice applications for aggro adcs like tristana jumping into the fray and all in ganks.

The lifesteal from Q would make jungling and lane sustain easy enough so that you could apply high pressure via lane aggression or ganks. Judging from the description, I imagine the E working like a reverse Ekko ult with knockup, which sounds pretty cool considering there isn't much cc in the kit besides the ult. Speaking of cc, dat ult. Not only can you isolate a carry from the team, but dealing damage to their frontline actually helps secure the kill on the carry. I think it'd create some really interesting gameplay options during engagements with a strong enemy frontline., especially considering that taking more damage means dealing more damage upon death.

Overall, I'd pretty interested to see this make it to PBE. Cool aesthetic(redirecting damage on allies and enemies), nice kit, unique ult (as long as the range isn't too huge), and interesting visual style. Sign me up to be a big old burlap sack of doom any day =p

A very creative idea! and I also take a liking to the Shadow Isles Champs and the fact that you made this idea impressed me. The gameplay Is VERY unique and is probably going to be more useful than Bard's :| Bard

especialy the ult i dont really understand is it global ? it seems usefull before /during a teamfight but idk man

I don't know. First off, there are voodoo dolls which are actually meant for protection (basically soaking up damage that would otherwise be meant for the person you cast the spell on), then there are poppets that are used with needles for hexes and such (actually European in origin). You seem to have mixed the two together. I think you should decide whether to make this champ a dedicated support or damage dealer. If It's an AP damage dealer, I would imagine a cursed poppy doll champion to be something that uses it's own health as a spell damage resource instead of or in addition to mana. It's ult could be sort of a reverse Zed ultimate, where it marks an enemy champion and any damage you take (including from your own abilities) gets increased and smacked on to the enemy target when the timer is up. Such a champion would obviously need to be a major health stacker.

- Expand upon his design. I'll be honest: I really freaking love his design. However, it doesn't really fit League. Perhaps make him a bit more "voodoo-y". It could go a million different directions, but a suggestion I'd have would be to give him some sort of mask.

- Expand upon his lore. I know this must be a work in progress, but his lore isn't very clear. It mentions a king- who is he? How did Boko end up in the Shadow Isles? What is his motivation? What is his personality? This is important because it could affect his design/abilities.

- Make a more cohesive skillset. "Linking" champions is a really cool idea that has a lot of potential. But he can link to both an ally and enemy at once? I think it could get a bit confusing especially due to the damage sharing. Plus, the passive just seems like a glorious Kog'Maw passive. It would be cool if he revolved around "linking/tethering/possession" a bit more.

I also thought for a while and imagined how I think he could be improved. These are just some random ideas I had, and it's a bit too convoluted but I understand if you think this doesn't represent Boko. But you can use this how you wish, just something that might give you inspiration. :)

{Passive} Voodoo -- Genius name I know! Boko gains stacks of Voodoo (max. 10) depending on how long he has been linked to someone else. These stacks decrease the damage taken by Boko by (X%) per stack and increase his damage (X%) per stack. Stacks of Voodoo gradually disappear if not linked to a champion. (Voodoo stacks take the appearance of pins on Boko's body)

{Skill 1} Q: Ghostly Ties -- (Targeted Ability) Boko links his soul with another champion. The ties are broken if Boko or the target are out of range or if one of them die. Ally cast: Boko redirects 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% of damage taken by his ally to him. Additionally, Boko and his ally gain increased regeneration and movement speed for a short time if the ties are broken. Enemy cast: Boko redirects 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% of damage he takes to his enemy. Additionally, Boko and his enemy gain increased regeneration and movement speed for a short duration if the ties are broken.

{Skill 2} W: Ectoplasma -- Instant Cast Boko sends magical energy through his link with a champion. The projectile speed is increased depending on the number of Voodoo stacks, and it consumes all stacks. This ability fails if the target is not linked anymore. Ally cast: Boko sends a healing pulse, that travels through the link into his ally. This pulse heals them for 8%/9%/10%/11%/12% of their missing health and heals Boko for half that amount. _Enemy cast: _ Boko sends a dark pulse of energy that travels through the link to his enemy. This pulse damages them for (X) amount and slows them for 99% for 1.5 seconds.

{Skill 3} E: Tether Together -- 2.5 second Channel Boko channels dark energy and brings his linked champion and himself closer together (both are moved- think Nautilus hook). The duration of the channel is lowered by 6% for each stack of Voodoo. Boko's channel can be interrupted and stopped if he takes damage from an enemy champion (but not damage from his ghostly ties).

{Skill 4} R: Possesion -- Instant Cast with 1.5 second channel Boko takes an ethereal form and possesses the champion he is linked to. The duration of this skill increases with the number of Voodoo stacks (.2 seconds per stack), and consumes all stacks. Ally cast: Boko possesses his ally for 5 seconds, granting them 25%/35%/45% of Boko's bonus Armor, Magic Resist, Health, Attack Damage, Ability Power, and Movement Speed. At the end of the possession, nearby enemies are feared for 1 second. During this time, Boko cannot cast abilities or move but may recast to end his possession early. Boko is returned to his location at the time of the cast. Enemy cast: Boko possesses his enemy, suppressing them but able to control their movement for 2 seconds. During this possession, the enemy takes 8%/16%/24% increased damage. At the end of the possesion, nearby enemies are feared for 1 second. Boko cannot cast abilities or move while possessing, but can recast to end his possesion early. Boko is returned to his location at the time of the cast.

Quite a large wall of text. I'm sorry if that was too long to read. :P But again, just some ideas I had while reading this. I wish you good luck on Boko and I'm with you wishing he's a reality someday!

I like the idea of being able to link with both an ally or an enemy for the Q (W on the original skillset), and having additional effects on the tether breaking. I'd probably remove the regeneration on breaking and either have a flat heal or no heal on top of the movement increase. The only issue I see with it is that you'd have to do some wonky things if you wanted to give your ally speed to secure a kill like walking away from enemies, and the same thing for the heal/regeneration. I'd suggest having passive move speed bonuses for you and your ally while linked, and potentially a slow on the enemy while linked. The passive damage reduction from being linked is a nice idea as well. I also like having a heal/slow that again can target allies or enemies, it adds to the theme of manipulating champions via voodoo.

I'm not entirely a fan of the E you suggested, I think that the ghost projecting teleport/knockup on the original E was really cool, and solidifies the champion as a melee tank. I also prefer the original ult's enemy effect, but you suggested an interesting effect for ally casts that could be pretty sweet, though not very fun for Boko being unable to act for the duration.

If you take the best of both kits, you'd end up with: Passive: Damage reduction based on tether stacks. Q: Ally cast damage share/move speed increase...enemy cast damage amplify/slow. W: Ally tether heal...enemy tether lifesteal. E: Original spirit/teleport and knockup. R: Ally cast stat buff...enemy cast suppression/damage redirect.

Really great suggestions, seems like you put some thought into it ^^
