Did anyone else see the similarities between Star Guardian Lux and a a Disney CHARACTER? I was browsing trough my channel the other day and i found this Disney Show Called "Star vs The Forces Of Evi". It airs on Disney XD, because i have a PBE acc. i knew about thew New Lux Skin. Do you REALLY not know about Sailor Moon?
I mean. I can see the similarity (well mainly just the rod), except it's because they're both just heavily inspired by the magical girl genre in general. I doubt this specific show was the specific inspiration.
The whole pink rod with a star+wings is an ancient thematic. I wonder what the first actual instance was. Maybe Card Captor Sakura...?
Pretty sure it's inspired by the good o' Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura that started the whole magical girl thing.
I'm pretty sure sailor chibi moon is the main inspiration for Star Guardian Lux.
Sailor Moon didn't start the magical girl genre, but it sure as hell popularized it. Almost any magical girl anime or western cartoon or French-ime you can think of is inspired in some way by Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon itself was a spiritual, retroactively canon successor to Sailor V made by the same artist (Sailor V would become Sailor Venus).
