Greetings fellow summoners, I have been playing League since S3 and am now hopefully getting into champion design. This is my first attempt at it and would love honest, constructive feedback. Here is the lore on Ban'duk, more to come!

Ban’duk The Titan of the Void

Along the outskirts of the Shurima desert, where few creatures dare to live there dwells a race of humanoid elephants known as pahtoderms. Simple creatures standingly roughly 11 feet tall, they are simple but fiercely emotional creatures with tight family bonds. Although food is scarce they survive their endless march by filling the massive tubes, they refer to as totems, they perpetually carry with any and all resources they find to sustain them until they find another desert oasis.

Bandoruka was playing peacefully with the other yearlings when he heard his father, Korudan call him to his side. His father was the largest, and strongest of their mere pack of 20 and thus he ruled. As Bandoruka approached his father’s side he noticed that he wasn’t bent low to greet him, as was the custom, his large eyes were fixed firmly on the horizon. As Bando grabbed at his father’s loincloth Korudan pushed his hand down and pointed him towards the rest of the herd who were gathering their totems and starting abruptly away from the father and son. Bando refused to leave his father’s side until he saw what held Korudan’s attention so completely. A group of predators came into view under the fire in the sky. Blood-starved and ravenous, they broke into a sprint as they saw the pack. Even one pahtoderm would be a match for the four enemies, but a pack of twenty? Something wasn’t right and Korudan knew it. He took up his totem and his son and started towards the pack. They ran with all they had towards a large dune, hoping that the herd could mount a defense at the crest. The pair caught their kin roughly two-hundred yards from the base of the dune. As they neared the rear of the formation Korudan urged his son forward and stopped to ward off the predators, who had almost caught them.

Korudan now saw the four for what they were. They stood almost up to his shoulders, covered in fur with large snouts and terrible looking claws and teeth, much too large for their size. Large enough that they would certainly cause damage to themselves when, or if they ever closed their jaws for they had not stopped drooling since they caught up to the ‘derm. Korudan noted that their spittle glowed green and sizzled as it hit the sand. He took up his totem and let out a mighty bellow hoping to scare away the four but they simply cackled a terrible laugh that addled Korudan’s mind. They circled him, laughing and spewing a noxious green gas that assaulted Korudan’s senses, forcing him into a frenzy. He charged at them wildly, swinging with reckless abandon, but they quickly overtook him.

Bandoruka could do nothing but quiver as he watched the corpse of his father dissolve into the desert sand. He simply fell to his knees and hoped that this nightmare would end.... It did. He awoke, his skin burning from the morning sun, alone and afraid. He searched for any sign of his herd but found nothing but their totems, still decaying in the noxious residue, leftover from the massacre. He threw his father’s totem over his shoulder, the residue burning his skin, however he did not notice the pain. He felt only one thing, shame. Shame that he had not the courage to defend his herd or his father. He wandered the desert aimlessly for countless days. He collapsed, his father’s totem empty, at the foot of a crumbling obelisk, covered in pictures of strange beings. He was roused by a cold hand on his burning shoulder. The figure before him was cloaked in purple robes, and was speaking of a place. A dark, cold place, filled with horrors, and power unimaginable. Bandoruka struggled to his feet to look his savior in the eye. The prophet smiled as a portal opened beneath their feet and they fell into the Void.

Bandoruka was destroyed. He was weak. He did not have the strength to protect, nonetheless avenge his father. Ban’duk emerged from the nothingness, stronger, bigger and hungrier. The power that courses through his veins fuels his hunger for revenge against the monsters that fueled his metamorphosis. He knows of one place where the most vile creations of Zaun run rampant. He took up his father’s totem, and started towards The Fields of Justice.

I like how there seemed to be quite some effort put into making this lore. I used to really like reading them (imo the best written one is the Gnar one), but nowadays they're just like 3-4 lines long. I think one of the reasons why Riot spends so much time on making champion release sites and animations is to compensate for the lore, but I wish more of the champion's background can be revealed through their story.
