Some of us have 100s of friends in our list. It would be really helpful if under their names it showed something along the lines of "last time logged on: Feb 14-2012". That way when we go to clean up our list we can see if someone has quit or not active.

You shouldn't make friends with people you never intended to talk to or play with just because they asked you to. That's not being nice. That's getting someone's hopes up and then taking up a spot on their list. It's much nicer to tell someone "sorry I have a team I play with usually. I can add you if you want to be a bench warmer for a rainy day" because at least they would know what's up. You should treat your friends list as if it's a prestigious award to be on it. Not a fast food service station where everybody dines. I'm sure everyone here has been added by that team of 3-4 friends and then no more than being added and playing 1 game with them they start treating you as if you're the reason why they're losing. Yeah, 10 people for a game that requires 5 is a little short on numbers, but 20-30 should be all you ever need if you're not just adding randoms and are picking up actual teammates who play regularly and fulfill your teams role requirements. But lets change views from a team based friends list to a less serious friends list style. Say you add people who post a lot of cosplay or art in the concept boards. Why would you add people who don't play league to your client in the first place? Add the cosplayers who actually play and are inspired by each match. As for the ones that are inspired by watching That's what Facebook and twitter are for. That's why you can export and share posts. Plus there's a lot less red tape if you do it that way. Heck get them to watch your twitch if you're any good you might inspire them. I recommend making it a habit to wipe everyone from your friends list at the start of the season. Keep your real life friends and for sure team buddies. Everyone else is just left over clutter. Starting fresh is way better. If everyone felt this way the gaming environment would be a lot more interactive.
