The Gamblers Coin

An item you gamble your skills with to gain gold. Like a mix between GP Medallions and Pyke R tokens. The idea is to gamble its weight in "gold" against your enemy.

°You can only cash it in at the fountain Each time you return to the fountain, you get one opportunity to cash in, if you leave you have to wait. Kinda like the undo button.

°You can only cash it in if you have the Gamblers coin. It'll be like a toolbar tip icon, dull when you don't have the coin and illuminated when you do.

°The coin goes to whoever killed the previous holder, assist do not count for obvious reasons. So if you have the coin when you return to base you can cash in for the time allotted amount or continue to hold the coin and gamble your skills of hanging on to it for the next time goal.

When the time goal is met the coin automatically cashes in, whether you're on fountain or not. Ultimately the trick is to have the coin when the bounty is highest.

Every 5 minutes the bounty of the coin increases by 25 gold.

And with the coins duration only lasting 30 minutes that's a max of 150 gold. (I'm terrible at math, these numbers are probably wrong so "Tibbers" with me) Which will eventually be split between the team if it last until the full 30 minutes without being cashed in.

Thoughts, Concerns?

Now that I think further on this.

This could be a really cool game mode.

Instead of an exploding nexus, it could be a who has the most gold at 30minutes. A timed game mode to keep the game manageable. Also the gold values could definitely be increased.

Everyone could start with Doran items, dark seal or any item less than 500 gold, for free. And the longer you have the coin the more income you earn for your team.

If we change the passive bounty value it could be:

50gp to the coin if you assist with killing the holder of the coin. (So it goes without saying, for each person that assisted in killing the holder, that's 50gp x 4 + 100gp stealing the bounty)

100gp to the killer 100gp if you hang on to the coin until end of round.

The bounty of the coin itself starts at 100gp round 2 starts at 200gp R3 - 300gp R4 - 400gp etc.

You do whatever it takes to get the coin from the enemy team. *ganking *2 man lanes *aram *double jungle

No matter who has the coin on recall the gold will always be distributed between the team with the holder receiving the larger amount.

The best strategy would be to increase the value of the coin by dying but the Gamble is, are you skilled enough to get the coin back? Is the enemy team skilled enough to hang on to the coin until the next round?

At the end of the first 5 minutes will be the end of the first round. So and So forth.

it could be a new mode similar to aram that could be played in rounds. Round ends, everyone is ported back fountain and as a team you have to decide whether to spend the gold or hang on to it. No team earns passive gold, you can only earn gold by cashing in the coins bounty. It will also have to be a group decision, like the surrender vote. 4/5 must vote yes to spend. This can avoid the intentional trolling from frustrated or tilted teammates.

The only role that counts is the keeper of the coin. The game starts out like a normal draft scenario. The coin can either be randomly chosen based off some algorithm Riot or myself has thought up.

ROUNDS ONLY END AT THE TIME GOAL.

and since its a timed mode, Riot could include the "ARURF" launchers near the fountain. Or it could be a mode for all three maps: SR, TT, ARAM.
