Mordekaiser Rework idea.
I have a few friends that like Mordekaiser and it makes me and them frustrated that his kit is both too weak and too uninteractive to be strong without meta defining. So I want to help give ideas to riot for possible abilities and gameplay angles to take the champion in. This thread is going to be about my ideas for his new abilities and how I view he could work in the game.
Passive: Iron Man

- When Mordekaiser finishes two complete items he is able to augment one of his basic abilities.

- When Mordekaiser is within 1000 units of an allied champion for 20 seconds he binds with them. Both champions take less damage from ranged auto attacks.
- When he assists in killing dragon activates his ultimate. ( At any time but only gains partial benefit before lvl 6)
Thoughts: Riot wants or seemed to want Morde able to play in the botlane and be able to contend with the ranged champions that are often there. This passive should allow him to scale into the game better by giving him strongeer item break points and allow him to lane against the increased range when played intelligently.
Q: Mace of Spades Mordekaiser empowers his next basic attack to deal bonus magic damage and gain 50 Range. Upgrade: Increases range to +100 and when Mordekaiser lands this attack he gains a large movespeed buff that decays over two seconds.
Thoughts: Giving bonus range to an augmented auto attack and reset will allow Morde to trade a little better against ranged opponents and make it safer and easier to farm under tower. The augment will increase this ability to trade and follow up on the damage with the movespeed.
W: Harvesters of Sorrow (650 range) Mordekaiser emits a field of magnetic metal around himself which damages enemies per second for six seconds. Once enough damage is done Mordekaiser sucks the field back in and pulls all enemies closer to him slowing them and stealing some hp (Bonus for champions). Upgrade: Mordekaiser gains a shield based on his max health and scales adaptive AD or AP.
Thoughts: This ability would be much larger than his current W on live servers and would allow him to follow up engages and ganks in the bot lane. When upgraded the shield would give him a much stronger presence in teamfights as he would likely have to be near the frontline. The heal would also grant him sustain to survie the heavy amount of harass from the ranged enemies.
E: Siphon of Destruction (700 range for center of cast circle) Mordekaiser emits a mist at target location that damages enemies over time and can be reactivated to slow and damage enemies. Upgrade: The slow on activation is much stronger (or longer) and grants Mordekaiser increased movement speed towards slowed enemies.
Thoughts: This ability is aimed at giving Morde access to the minions in the lane phase and potential zoning options in later teamfights. the damage early would need to be enough to half health a ranged minion over the duration of the dot with the activation being less damage but quicker.
R: Rider of Dragons Passive: Mordekaiser deals bonus damage to dragon. Active: Mordekaiser summons his spectral dragon to ride into battle increasing his hp and augmenting his abilities for 15 seconds. Mordekaiser can be forced to dismount by draining the extra hp from the summon. All autos gain the current benefit of his Q and activating it grants double for that auto. His W is constantly around him and he is able to activate it at any time to gain a shield if it is augmented and pull enemies in and gain the heal. His E cooldown becomes 1 second and pops instantly instead of lingering granting all benefits of the E reactivation landing.
Thoughts: This ultimate would grant a large amount of hp and giving him an undeniable "go" button making it possible to pull off dives and push enemies off of objectives. Having him be able to use this ability even while on cooldown and at any level by slaying a dragon rewards his team for playing around him and helping cement his identity as a bot lane carry. Once a dragon is defeated by Morde and his team they would have 15 seconds to make a strong map play with the buffed Morde like a dive or rushing Baron but with only the 15 second window they would need to be decisive not just making this a kill dragon to in button.
