[Champion Concept] Naerja, The Dream Weaver

The idea for Naerja basically comes from 's Q (btw happy birthday Jinx). I've always found the idea of switching between guns and changing your playstyle accordingly to be super cool, but always wondered what a kit completely centered around this mechanic would look like, so I decided to come up with something myself. So here we have Naerja, a sort of control marksmen (I'm really trying to get used to these subclasses, cause no one else seems to want to) who I don't wanna call ranged Udyr, but is sort of ranged Udyr. LORE

 Naerja was a young girl in the heart of Demacia, dreaming of greatness when she was tasked with her first mission. It was a simple task. A simple delivery of goods and supplies to an away camp, but none the less she was excited. So she went on with great passion and delivered the goods. The mission seemed successful at first, but she soon found the camp she had aided surrounded by Noxian soldiers.
 In a quick action, she removed her gun from it's holster, bolting through their lines and sending out a flurry of bullets, creating a worthy distraction, and allowing many of the soldier of the camp to escape, but leaving herself to die.
 It wasn't long until she had fallen. Moments away from death's grasp, she had all but given up hope for her life. Not mournful for herself, but thankful that perhaps those she had helped escape would live another day. Her heartbeat slowed, and she accepted her death when suddenly, from the stars, a flare range out atop her and sheathed in the ethereal light, an astral being descended. The being grasped her cheek and whispered words of life into her body.
 In an instant, her heartbeat quickened, and life reentered her body along with an arcane force of the stars that burnt deep inside her heart. She harnessed her new found powers, sending out a shockwave around her that infected the minds of the soldiers that had battered her, causing them insanity, and allowing her to escape.
 From then on, her passion for justice burnt brighter than ever, and she vowed to master the abilities she was blessed with, and use them to deliver good across all of runetera. Determined to not misuse the second chance she had been given.

PASSIVE

Daydream/Nightmare

For every 6 seconds Naerja hasn't taken at least 15% of her max health she grants herself and allies bonus healing and shielding power, and mana regeneration, that stacks up to three times. If Naerja takes 15% of her max health while these buffs are active, they rapidly decrease over one second.

If Naerja falls to under 40% of her max health, her next four auto attacks grant her increased movement speed. Additionally, the final shot fears the enemy hit for a short time.

Q

Piercing Daybreak

Toggle: Naerja uses Daybreak, a pistol that deals normal basic attack damage. Critically damaging enemies while using Daybreak causes Naerja's next basic attack to steal a portion of the enemies armor.

Active: Naerja walks forward with increased movement speed, sending out four shots in a target direction. These shots damage and slow enemies hit. Landing two shots on one enemy fears them for a short time. Reactivating cancels the ability, and if reactivated before any shots are fired, refunds half the cooldown.

W

Big Bang

Toggle: Naerja uses Rapture, a shotgun. Rapture deals a portion of the enemies max hp in a cone around them. Critical hits with rapture deal 30% bonus damage. Rapture can hold one shot at a time. After firing Rapture, Naerja must stand still and reload for .75 seconds. Using an ability during this time cancels the reload process.

Active: Naerja throws out a star bomb that bounces once onto the ground before Naerja shoots it with Rapture, detonating it. Enemies hit by the detonation take damage over time and are slightly slowed. Big Bang can be reactivated to cause Naerja to detonate it early.

Astral Ascension

Toggle: Naerja drains her mana to ascend and grants herself bonus range. Her auto attacks deal a portion of their damage as magic damage. Consistent hits on an enemy cause them to take more damage from Naerja up to a cap. Additionally, if Naerja kills a unit while Astral Ascension is active, she regains 5% of her missing mana, if this unit is a champion, this regeneration is upped to 20%. If Naerja runs out of mana during Astral Ascenion, she reverts back to Daybreak.

R

Twilight's Scream

Active: Naerja hones her astral powers into Rapture and gains triple her attack range for one basic attack. After a short delay, she fires the attack toward a target enemy, damaging the first enemy hit. This shot deals a portion of the enemies maximum health and creates a sphere around them. This sphere slowly grows and slows all enemies that stand inside it. When it reaches it's maximum size, it detonates, damaging equal to the initial basic attack damage, and delivering a nightmare that fears all enemies still inside.

ABILITY INSIGHT

Q active: Think of lucian ult, in the sense of she can move(only in the direction decided upon cast) as these bullets fire. Q passive: Meant to be her basic form of attack.

W active: Think of a mixture of bouncing bomb and satchel charge. W passive: Think of old school GP parley. Vulnerable when down, deadly when up. Meant to give her an edge against enemies that would out tank her rather than out damage.

E: Meant to be her main skirmish form. For 1v1 scenarios mostly. Although I could see this potentially being used in team fights to pick of other squishy carries, she is a squishy adc herself, who would be pretty much set in the back lines, and would have to switch out of this form to have any real mobility. Like most adc's, if she's in the front, she's easy pickings. (Also two astral spirits descend from the sky as she casts this ability, but as this is purely aesthetically driven, I chose to leave it out from the description)

R: I like adc's who can initiate team fights, what can I say. Think of this as a mixture of shockwave and an anvia ult (which sounds so much more OP out loud) but in a sense that it expands, and has it's AoE effect after a delay.

Joke Naerja calls down astral spirits that fight gladiator style in front of her. She sits and cheers them on.

Zombie Naerja In which Naerja actually died but then the zombie apoclypse happened, because why not

Reaper Naerja In which Naerja is affiliated with the Shadow Isles as opposed to the stars.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

This is without a doubt the longest champion concept I've come up with to date, and was without out a doubt the most fun. I wrote this all in one go, so there will probably be rolling edits throughout this whole thing. If you've made it this far, damn boy/girl/person-of-non-binary-affiliation you're cool.
