Change Ryze Ult

Ryze has had a lot of changes, recently, but my favourite Ryze was definitely the original. As a main, I understood he was too strong and needed a change, which happened. I hated it so much I quite the game for about a year and a bit. I started again when I heard he got another big change, and I really liked it, apart from the ult. I like how it's harder to combo well than original Ryze, and how there's different ways to combo for different situations, but I find the ult is useless for the type of champion Ryze is. it doesn't work as an escape because you have to stand still for like, a while. I only find it's good to gank with, which is weird for a top (or mid) laned champion. I really don't think it suits his personality, and I think as a mage, there are lots of different things Riot could do with it. If anyone has suggestions, welcome to add.
